Today we made the most of the beautiful sunshine and spent some lovely, relaxing time out in the garden, enjoying the warmth and fresh air. 🌞 It was the perfect opportunity for everyone to unwind, have a chat, and soak up a bit of vitamin D.

Audrey, however, decided the sunshine had got a little too much for her and, in true Audrey fashion, announced she was off on a little stroll to cool down — we certainly can’t blame her, it was a warm one! 😄

It’s always so lovely to see everyone enjoying the outdoors and making the most of these brighter days. 🌼

Today we had the honour of the man himself, Bailey, leading our fitness class 💪

From start to finish, the room was full of energy, laughter, and plenty of friendly banter. Bailey kept everyone motivated and moving, making sure the session was not only beneficial but really enjoyable too.

There were lots of giggles throughout, with everyone getting involved and giving it their all. A special mention has to go to Audrey, who was on absolutely top form—bringing the laughs and keeping spirits high the whole time 😄

It’s safe to say it was a fantastic session that left everyone feeling uplifted, accomplished, and already looking forward to the next one!

As part of our Tanglewood Has Taste initiative, each month we are given a fun theme to bring to life – and April’s theme was the exciting “Easter Bake Off!” 🧁🐣

To celebrate, we held a cake decorating competition during our Easter event yesterday, and it was a huge hit with everyone who took part! Visitors were invited to take a plain cupcake and transform it into a masterpiece using a selection of colourful and creative decorating treats we had on hand 🎨🍰

We saw some truly fantastic creations, full of imagination, colour, and Easter cheer – it certainly wasn’t an easy decision! So, we enlisted the help of one of our wonderful residents, Kath, to be our official judge for the competition 👩‍⚖️💛

After much consideration, Kath chose our winner… a big congratulations to the very talented Sarah-Kate for her beautifully decorated cupcake! 🏆✨ She was awarded a lovely Easter hamper, which was very well deserved.

Well done to everyone who took part – the effort and creativity on display were amazing, and it brought so much fun and laughter to the day. Events like these are such a lovely way to bring residents, families, and the community together 💐

What a fantastic and fun-filled way to kick off our Easter celebrations here at Meadows Park! 🎉🐣

We were so excited to open our doors and welcome members of the community into our home for a truly special day. The atmosphere was full of warmth, laughter, and togetherness from the very start, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces all in one place 💛

The incredibly talented Charlie had the room buzzing, singing and belting out a great selection of classics that had everyone clapping along, singing at the top of their voices, and even getting up for a dance! 🎶💃 There’s nothing better than music to bring people together, and it certainly did just that today.

One of the absolute highlights of the day had to be our adorable four-legged visitors… the ponies! 🐴✨ They spent time with our residents, offering gentle, one-on-one moments that brought so much joy, comfort, and excitement. Seeing those reactions and connections being made was truly heartwarming.

And of course, we couldn’t celebrate Easter without a very special guest… our very own Meadows Park Easter Bunny! 🐰🌸 Spreading smiles, laughter, and a little bit of Easter magic wherever they went, they were a huge hit with everyone.

Days like today remind us how important community, connection, and shared experiences are. It was a day filled with fun, laughter, music, and unforgettable memories for our residents, staff, and visitors alike.

We can’t wait for more Easter fun to come! 🌼🐣💖

Our afternoon session was full of creativity as we got into the Easter spirit making beautiful Easter bonnets! 🌸🐣 The room was filled with laughter, colour, and imagination as everyone added their own unique touch to their designs. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and such a great sense of pride in each creation.

Activities like these are so important—they encourage creativity, support wellbeing, and bring everyone together for meaningful social interaction. They also help spark memories, boost confidence, and create a real sense of achievement.

A lovely way to spend time together and celebrate the season—well done everyone for your fantastic efforts! 💐🐰

We kicked off the day with a fantastic morning mini golf session ⛳️

There were some very impressive shots and a few surprise experts among us, while others enjoyed having a go and sharing plenty of laughs along the way! 😄 From near misses to hole-in-ones, it was full of fun, friendly competition, and lots of encouragement from everyone.

Most importantly, it brought plenty of smiles and a great start to the day for all involved. It’s safe to say everyone was a winner this morning! 💚

Yesterday morning, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Spiltmilk for their beautiful performance of Bloom 🌸

The show captured the magic of spring, taking us through sunshine, rain and the joy of flowers coming into bloom. It was a truly engaging and heartwarming experience, with the performers interacting with every single resident - making it all the more special 💛

To top it all off, our residents had the chance to try on some of the wonderful costumes and have their photos taken on a polaroid camera - creating lovely keepsakes to remember the day 📸

A huge thank you to Ella, Chloe and Adele - you are all superstars! ✨

A cosy and creative afternoon at our Knit and Natter session🧶💬

Our residents spent a lovely afternoon together knitting, chatting, and sharing stories, with plenty of laughter along the way. From working on ongoing projects to starting something new, it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

For some, it’s a chance to continue a much-loved hobby, while for others it’s all about the joy of conversation and being part of the group. There’s always something special about these afternoons, where friendships grow and everyone feels included and supported.

Sessions like these are a fantastic way to encourage creativity, maintain skills, and bring a real sense of warmth to our home.

We’re already looking forward to our next Knit and Natter afternoon! 💛🧶
