👩‍🍳✨ Banana Bread Demonstration with Chef Amanda! ✨👩‍🍳

Our residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon watching Chef Amanda demonstrate how to make banana bread. She walked everyone through each step, sharing tips, stories, and of course offering some tasty samples at the end! 🍌🍞

It was a warm, cosy session filled with lovely smells and plenty of smiles.

Due to Anglian Water carrying out work and digging up part of the road behind our care home, there is currently no access to the back car park. This means we have limited parking available on-site.

📚✨ Literature in the Lounge Visit ✨📚

We recently had a lovely visit from students at Lincoln University, who came to read to our residents as part of the “Literature in the Lounge” book festival.

They shared a selection of short stories written by young people, and our residents really enjoyed listening, chatting, and taking part in this special intergenerational activity. 💛

A big thank you to the students for bringing stories, smiles, and great conversation to our home!

Our residents have been enjoying some lovely crafty activities this week — from making Christmas cards for the HICA competition to getting cosy at our weekly Knit and Natter club. 🧶💬

Music always brings so much joy to our home, and our residents had another wonderful singalong session this week. From favourite classics to golden oldies, everyone joined in with smiles, tapping toes, and plenty of happy memories shared. 💛

🎄👩‍🍳 Stir-Up Tradition! 👩‍🍳🎄

Last week, Chef Amanda brought around the Christmas cake mix for everyone to take part in our festive tradition. Each resident stirred a cherry in and made a Christmas wish as they helped prepare the cake.
