🔢🎉 August Challenge: Numbers! 🎉🔢

Last month, our residents had a fantastic time exploring the world of numbers through fun games and activities! From Connect 4, dominoes, cards, to painting by numbers, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🃏🎲

We even had number-themed singalongs, filling the home with laughter, music, and lots of smiles. It’s amazing how much fun learning and playing with numbers can be! 💛

🤠🌵 Western Hoedown Fun! 🌵🤠

Last Thursday our care home was transformed into the Wild West! Staff and residents dressed up in their best cowboy hats and boots, we enjoyed fantastic live music from a country & western singer, played fun games, and tucked into some delicious cowboy-themed food.

We were delighted to welcome families to join the fun, and together we raised an amazing £240 on our raffle – thank you so much for your support! 💛

It was a wonderful day full of laughter, music, and smiles – and we’re already looking forward to the next celebration! 🎶✨

🐾 Day Trip to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park 🐾
On Thursday, some of our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, meeting some truly amazing animals and birds. 🦜🐯

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and stories shared as we explored the park together. A huge thank you to the staff at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park for making us feel so welcome — and to our amazing team for making sure everyone had such a memorable day. 💛

🎶🐾 A Day Full of Smiles and Serenity 🐾🎶

Our residents had a wonderful time this week with some uplifting musical therapy sessions — a beautiful way to spark memories, lift spirits, and share a few tunes together! 💖🎼

We also had a very special visitor… Hugo the therapy dog! 🐶 His calming presence brought so much joy and comfort to everyone. There were cuddles, wagging tails, and plenty of happy hearts. 🥰

Thank you to all who help make these meaningful moments possible. 💐

We had a heartwarming and activity-filled week here at TWCC! 🏡💕

📸 Residents enjoyed a lovely session of reminiscing, looking through old photographs and treasured items. It was a joy to hear the stories, laughter, and shared memories that brought the past to life.

🖐️ Our sensory activity was a big hit — engaging all five senses with a mix of textures, scents, sounds, tastes, and sights. A wonderful way to stimulate the mind and spark conversation!

🔷 As part of July’s HICA Challenge, we explored the word "Square". Residents had fun with square-themed puzzles and games — plenty of smiles and some healthy competition too!

It’s always a pleasure to see our residents so engaged and enjoying themselves. Here’s to another week of connection, creativity, and care! 💙✨

🌼 Out and About Again! 🛍️☕
Some of our lovely Residents enjoyed a fantastic day out at Woodthorpe Garden Centre today with our wonderful team members Sharon and Abby!

They spent time browsing the shopping area, admiring the beautiful flowers, and of course, stopping for a relaxing cuppa. A lovely day filled with smiles, fresh air, and great company. 🌸😊

This follows our last outing to the Landmark Café and Woody’s Restaurant, where Residents enjoyed coffee with a view, and plenty of cheerful moments.

A big thank you to Sharon and Abby for helping create these special days! 💕

🐾 Animal Therapy at TWCC 🐾

Yesterday we had a very special visitor — our beloved therapy dog Hugo came to brighten everyone’s day! 🐶💛 The residents absolutely loved the cuddles, companionship, and calming presence this gentle pup brought.

Animal therapy has become a cherished part of life here at our TWCC. Over the past year, we’ve welcomed a variety of furry (and not-so-furry!) friends — from playful ponies and friendly dogs to a curious little tortoise! 🐴🐕🐢

These wonderful moments bring so much joy and comfort to our residents — and we’re excited to share some of those smiles with you. 💖
