Today’s direct cremation was different.
His devoted wife and family visited him twice in our chapel of rest, spending precious time together before the day of his cremation. A dignified coffin was chosen, and we prepared him with the utmost care, respect, and dignity.

On the journey to the crematorium, his favourite songs played in the hearse — a small but meaningful touch. Waiting there were his devoted wife, children, and best friends. They stood together, united in love, as they watched his coffin being shouldered into the chapel before quietly saying their goodbyes.

This is what we believe a direct cremation should be. Not distant or impersonal, but dignified, caring, and meaningful — a farewell that truly honours a life.

Our direct cremation tomorrow reflects how every farewell should be — personal, dignified, and filled with care.

The family have visited their loved one twice in our chapel of rest, with no additional cost.

Their loved one has been prepared with the same respect and attention as all entrusted to our care.

A dignified coffin has been chosen, complete with handles, wreath holders, and a soft interior lining.

The journey will be made in a hearse, accompanied by full bearer staff.

The family will follow their loved one to the crematorium, where they will watch as they are shouldered with dignity into the chapel to Dire Straits’ Walk of Life.

Favourite music will also accompany the journey to the crematorium.

The funeral director will page the hearse from the funeral home and once again on arrival at the crematorium.

The following working day, the ashes will be personally delivered to the family home at no charge.

We believe every family deserves this level of care and dignity. 🌹
