Home Instead - East Hampshire and Midhurst

Home Instead - East Hampshire and Midhurst Providing support and care for people in their own homes in East Hampshire These values are evident in all that we do and remain at the heart of our practices.

We are in the privileged position to be offering the local community the highest quality personalised care, in Alton, Petersfield, Hindhead and surrounding areas. We support and enhance the lives of people within the comfort and security of their own homes. Our focus at Home Instead is entirely centred around the people and relatives whom we support. We take great pride in doing things differently, especially in the compassion and warmth of our dedicated team of CAREGivers, which is reflected by the quality of care they deliver and also in offering hour visits as a minimum to ensure that the needs of our clients are fully met. The underlying essence and commitment of the service we offer is to afford total flexibility and individual consideration for the needs and requirements of our clients. Our aim is to promote independence and dignity for our clients through identifying their own specific needs and aspirations through a variety of care and support options. We can provide an endless choice of non-medical care which could include: companionship, meal preparation, assisting with home tasks or paying bills, medication reminders or making appointments, trips or visits, continuation of hobbies and interests, attending clubs, recording family history or enjoying watching classic films………it is a very personal choice. When Personal Care is required, then our CAREGivers can offer support in all aspects of an individuals’ personal needs – from short-term support when returning home from hospital stays to caring for long term conditions with more complex and specialised needs. Our CAREGivers are trained specialists in Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care. They receive regular and ongoing training to keep up to date with developments in the management and support of these conditions. We work closely to support families who are faced with the challenges associated with a relative being diagnosed with dementia. As a fundamentally significant part of this support we offer free and comprehensive training for family members in this situation.

We’re so proud that our very own Care Professional, Charlotte Lowther from Home Instead Fareham & Gosport, joined carers from across the country at the legendary Abbey Road Studios to record a cover of Robbie Williams’ classic Angels. The track celebrates care workers everywhere and raises vital funds for The Care Workers’ Charity.

The single also features incredible talent including Kuill from The Voice, Jay Aston from Bucks Fizz, and Will Anderson — who began his caring career with us before winning Homecare’s Got Talent this summer.

Led by Visiting Angels, the choir brings together care professionals from Caremark, Voyage Care, Mochridhe, Vitality Care and Calon Lan Community Care — all united in one mission: to get “Angels for Angels” to No.1 this Christmas! 🎄💜

👉 Help us make it happen! Download and stream the track today, and please share with your friends and family. Every play supports care workers and the amazing work they do.

🎄✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us at the 14th Christmas Tree Festival at St Lawrence’sChurch in Alton!

The church looked magical with trees from local groups and organisations, including the Town Mayor and the Hard of Hearing Group.

We were proud to display our Home Instead East Hampshire & Midhurst tree, reflecting care, companionship, and support. 🦋 A highlight was the Butterfly Tree, with decorations created by attendees from our Coffee Morning — a lovely symbol of community and connection.

It was a joy to be part of this festive tradition and share it with you all. 💜

✨ An Inspiring Journey Shared at Our Christmas Meeting ✨
We were privileged to hear from an incredible guest at our Christmas gathering.

🌟 Before her stroke: A dedicated nurse running an outpatients department, she was persuaded to retire but never slowed down — busy with community projects, travel, and a full social life.

🌟 Three years ago: Whilst visiting family for a quiet holiday, she sat down for a cup of tea — and suddenly showed stroke symptoms. She was rushed to the local stroke unit, with her right side and mobility affected.

🌟 Her recovery: Starting non‑verbal and non‑physical, she worked with her daughter to rehabilitate. In time, they discovered over 600 stroke survivors in her local practice with no support, no one to help, and no signposting. Together they launched the Alton Stroke Association, now welcoming 25–30 visitors for friendship, shared experiences, and encouragement.

🌟 Her determination: She even completed the historic pilgrimage route from Reading to Spain, part of the Camino de Santiago, and continues to be an active part of the community.

💜 About the Alton Stroke Association 💜
Support for stroke survivors, carers & families in Alton and surrounding areas

Her story is a powerful reminder that life can change in a flash, but with courage, focus, and community, new paths open. Truly inspiring this Christmas season. 🎄✨
