Home Instead - East Hampshire and Midhurst

Home Instead - East Hampshire and Midhurst Providing support and care for people in their own homes in East Hampshire These values are evident in all that we do and remain at the heart of our practices.

We are in the privileged position to be offering the local community the highest quality personalised care, in Alton, Petersfield, Hindhead and surrounding areas. We support and enhance the lives of people within the comfort and security of their own homes. Our focus at Home Instead is entirely centred around the people and relatives whom we support. We take great pride in doing things differently, especially in the compassion and warmth of our dedicated team of CAREGivers, which is reflected by the quality of care they deliver and also in offering hour visits as a minimum to ensure that the needs of our clients are fully met. The underlying essence and commitment of the service we offer is to afford total flexibility and individual consideration for the needs and requirements of our clients. Our aim is to promote independence and dignity for our clients through identifying their own specific needs and aspirations through a variety of care and support options. We can provide an endless choice of non-medical care which could include: companionship, meal preparation, assisting with home tasks or paying bills, medication reminders or making appointments, trips or visits, continuation of hobbies and interests, attending clubs, recording family history or enjoying watching classic films………it is a very personal choice. When Personal Care is required, then our CAREGivers can offer support in all aspects of an individuals’ personal needs – from short-term support when returning home from hospital stays to caring for long term conditions with more complex and specialised needs. Our CAREGivers are trained specialists in Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care. They receive regular and ongoing training to keep up to date with developments in the management and support of these conditions. We work closely to support families who are faced with the challenges associated with a relative being diagnosed with dementia. As a fundamentally significant part of this support we offer free and comprehensive training for family members in this situation.

Lianne took Colin on a little adventure this week—a ride aboard the Watercress Line steam train. The sun was out, the countryside was glowing, and the whistle of the engine brought back memories of days gone by.

It wasn’t just a train ride—it was a chance to slow down, share stories, and enjoy something special together. These are the moments that matter most.

Thanks to the The Watercress Line team for helping make it such a lovely day.

Choosing the best care for a loved one is a big decision, and understanding the costs is an important part of that.

At Home Instead East Hampshire and Midhurst, we believe in making this process as clear and straightforward as possible. Home care can be a great, cost-effective alternative to a care home, allowing you to pay only for the support you need, when you need it.

You may have to pay for your own care, but you could also be eligible for funding or support from Hampshire County Council.

If you have questions about the cost of care or what support might be right for you or your family, our team is here to help.

In care, companionship isn’t just a comfort—it’s a lifeline. It brings confidence, connection, and calm to everyday life.

Whether it’s a shared cup of tea, a walk to the shops, or a chat about the past, companionship helps people feel valued, seen, and supported. It reduces loneliness, lifts mood, and even improves physical well-being.
