Good morning beautiful ones,
this week has been a busy one for me so I have been quiet here. because my family and my well being take priority over sharing on social media.
A little update on my journey this morning after quite a overwhelming week i decided to not sit and complain that i was feeling stiff and uptight, instead i got up and did some lovely yoga stretches and belly breathing. my physiology changed and my mentality shifted too. Yesterday i took my girls out to the woods so we could connect with nature and move our bodies it was just what we needed and the sun was shining. nature is medicine so get out in it as much as possible. As the great Billy Connelly says there is 'there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing choices'.

Feelings Friday!
honestly today has been a wave of emotions. Some totally overwhelming and others like whispers. Instead of doing my usual beating myself up about feeling some of the emotions i have sat with them and witnessed them, appreciated the lessons they teach me and just generally been kind to myself. This week has been quite a busy week. I've had some hormone imbalance symptoms, like excessive sweating and emotional rollercoaster days. but I've navigated them and focused on eating mood stabilizing foods that made me feel better. so this is my little update for you and a gentle reminder to be gentle with yourself.

Hello beautiful ones!
This morning I woke feeling a little blah! honestly I think I may have a serious hormone imbalance. Which I plan to address by sorting my diet (i know feels like a swear word with how much the word is thrown around). The definition of the word diet is literally the nutritional intake of any given creature. so not a bad word really!
I know I have a lot of female followers here and thought that if You would like I will share my journey as I fast approach the 4th decade of my life and the hormonal and physical changes I experience and how i address them using techniques like EFT, herbal remedies and changes to eating habits. I know that sometimes just knowing you are not alone on the journey it can be a game changer.
Today i got outside in the sun and dirt digging my plot or my happy place and it shifted the blah feeling really quickly. I am make myself a balanced meal for lunch i did also snack on some walnuts this morning.

Slow down Saturday!!!!!
Today i made a decision to slow down... normally I am rushing around trying to fit as much into a day as possible. But today I changed things. Mainly because recently my body has been screaming at me to slow down, rest and restore. I can admit I have been neglecting myself recently. So instead of pushing myself to do all the things I think I should do i stopped and did some things I've not allowed myself the time to do. 1. I made a fresh batch of cinnamon buns.
2. I cuddled with the girls. 3. I sat still for over half an hour.
Now all the things I didn't do.
1. Rush to get dressed and out the house first thing in the morning.
2. Forget to feed myself breakfast.
3. Find my cold coffee after hours of doing chores.
4. Stress myself out about if my house was clean and tidy like social media tells you it should be.
5. Feel mum guilt for not being present with the girls.
Just a little reminder to you t slow down your mind, body and soul will thank you for it. 😊❤️💖

Today i was thinking back to when I made my first sourdough bread. I had been a dream of mine for a long while, but I kept putting it off through fear of failure. But then I kept repeating the mantra of one of my wonderful mentor/friends 'no such thing as failure only feedback!' And did it anyway. I was so proud of myself once it came out of the oven. So this is my little reminder to myself and you! To do the thing that you want to do even if there is the doubt demons in your ear. You will be pleasantly surprised at your results.

Wednesdays for me are often about wisdom. Today I was thinking about gut instincts and how often my gut is right. Do you listen to your gut??
I know i have been more aware of my gut feelings since learning that the gut has its own neurons which is why you get that feeling in the gut that something is not right or is very right. Everyday is a learning day and wisdom needs to be shared so that we don't become mindless shells wondering the planet

Try it Tuesday!
Today, i am looking through this wonderful old cooking book. From the 1970s. What i love about this book is that it has information about everything, including which foods are in season. Something we have lost touch with, which has resulted in many people becoming disconnected from mother nature. It's my belief that this is where so much illness stems from. Mother nature provides all we need as creatures of nature. So today, I am going to try a recipe from this wonderful book to help me reconnect with the seasons and nature.
Did you know eating food that is seasonal means you are consuming them at their most nutrient rich time?

Good morning, beautiful ones,
This morning, something happened that triggered a very big emotional response of embarrassment and shame. The feelings were so intense I was physically shaking. I felt myself beginning to spiral into an emotional, overthinking mess.... but instead of allowing the feelings to take control, I remembered my amazing tool kit of techniques to regulate my nervous system. So step 1. Take a few deep breaths. Step 2. Recognise the emotions and feels. Also, take note of words my brain was using to create the feelings. Step 3. Begin tapping (EFT) after 5 rounds of tapping i had gone from complete disaster thinking to calm rational thoughts.

The slow down Sunday something I am learning to embrace... most of my life i have believed that in order for me to be useful or important i must be busy and doing all the things. But I am slowing learning that slowing down is very healing and essential to a good life balance. So today on this Sunday I invite you to take 3 steps and slow down. 1. Make your favourite hot drink and if you can take it outside, sit and sip. Truly enjoy the few moments just sipping..2. Place your hand over your heart and one on your tummy and take at least 3 lovely long breaths. 3. Be still just for 5 minutes at least dont talk or think just Be!. But most of all enjoy the day be present 😊

For months now I've not really been posting anything as I have been worried that it might not be what people think an apothecary is supposed to share. But after some thought and feeling I realised that actually healing happens in so many different ways that there is no limit or rules to what I can share to help inspire people to heal. Sometimes it may require careful thought and herbs or nutritional advice and other times its a simple soul nourishing, heart healing cinnamon bun because you have been feeling big emotions and just need a few moments to enjoy the warm hug of comfort from a warm cinnamon bun.

Hello beautiful ones,
I have been very quiet of late.. honestly I lost all motivation and belief in myself and what I want to share with the world. After some quiet reflection, I established that I have been trying to be or say what I think people want to hear. Instead of being myself and letting knowledge and love reach those who need/want to hear it. So today, I have started by doing things that make me happy and light me up. Like cooking delicious nourishing meals.
I will be sharing more now that I'm clearer on who i am and what I want to share.
