This is still a tricky time if you’re following a diet, maintaining your weight loss, or just generally needing to watch your weight.

The best advice I can offer is to simply do the best you can do, while being kind to yourself.

When I say be kind to yourself, I’m not suggesting that you give yourself permission to treat your body as a rubbish bin.

Quite the opposite. You are worth more.

I’m suggesting that kindess is treating your body with the respect it deserves.

Being kind to yourself is eating foods that are high in nutritional value, that nourish your mind, body and soul instead of diminishing them.

That’s real kindess.

So when you’re surrounded by all those tempting foods and drinks, please remember, your real friends are water, lots and lots of it, along with real foods, the protein and veggies as listed in your Step 2 and 3 lists, and of course your 1:1 products that are nutritionally balanced, and help you stay full.

These are the foods that will love you back. The alcohol, the carby, surgary, fatty and fried food, just make you feel and look bad, so try your best to stay clear of the foods that are not your weight loss friends.

The time is now to take action, even if just one of these are implemented at a time:

✨ Minimum 2.25 litres of water per day - water is you secret weapon - the more you drink the more your appetite and you shrink!
✨ in just 3-4 short days if you stick to plan and stabilise your blood sugars again, you will be feeling back in control, no longer bloated and back in the zone. 3 days to feeling good again. You can turn this around, know that you have the power.
✨ Get moving. Something as easy, free and simple as 30 mins a day of walking can make a huge different to your physical and mental health. Make time for it, even if in 2 blocks of 15 mins. Every step counts.
✨Make a plan/plan ahead by booking your next consultation now, or book that restart or initial consultation. Keep doing the best you can.

"I'll start training next month... there's too many birthdays"

Excuses. They're everywhere.... but what if we told you that you could have a social life and still stay on track with your goals?

We've rounded up our top tips to help you stay on track even when your social calendar is FULL this month

- Go For Smaller Portions Eating at a restaurant? Why not split a dish with a friend and order some veggies or a salad on the side? Restaurant portions are often much bigger than a normal portion - and it's easy to overeat when you're busy talking with friends.

- Make It a Date - an exercise date. Why not head out on a walk with a friend instead of a coffee shop catch up? That way you get some extra steps in without even thinking about it.

- Drink 2 large glasses of water as soon as you sit down at your dinner or arrive at the bar. This will help make you feel fuller and perhaps prevent over ordering when it comes to the food.

- Meal Prep Like a Pro! When you're busy, it's easy to fall back into old habits and opt for convenience especially if you are trying to maintain. Prepare your meals and snacks to ensure healthy food is always easily available.

- Take your product with you and don't be embarrassed to say 'NO'. Your weight loss journey should be all about you.

Remember it's all about balance. You can still have your treats, but let it be a 1:1 Diet treat 💙
