Would you like to know how to support someone when they are struggling with their Mental Health?
This is Rio in his safe place! Rio came to us 5 yrs ago he had had a traumatic time and did not like noises, going outside and had never barked. With lots of love and work, he did love his walks, ironically only barks when he knows he's going out. BUT, mid January someone let lots of fireworks off, 20 paces from us while out walking along a normal street, at 17.30 in the afternoon !!
Now Rio won't go out after his morning walk, won't walk on the roads but is in his element on the beach with the wind in his ears, noise of the sea, birds and occasional dog barking in excitement.
Unfortunately dogs as well as people can struggle with their mental health. Dealing with a dogs mental health can be a bit more challenging, but we can all learn to help a person.
The Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health Course, is a great way to learn how to do, just that.
