Hello, I'm sorry I have been absent from this page for quite a while now.. I lost my dear Dad in June, after he lost his brave battle with cancer... I found the strength from somewhere - to finish my children's book and I will be posting an update very soon! But firstly, I just wanted to share this post. I am trying to raise even more money for in my Dad's memory, so if you fancy a raffle ticket for just £1 each, then click on the link below for all the info 💙 You could have one of my limited edition prints on your wall if you win! 💙
I'll cut and paste the original post, so grab a cuppa and a chair if you want to read it as it's a bit long.... 🤭
💙 It’s nearly six months since we lost Dad and I have been meaning to set this up for a few months, but every time I see Dad’s photo lately I cry! 💙 I wanted to give you the chance to win this limited edition A3 Giclée print in Dad’s memory, in time for Christmas.
It was Dad’s favourite illustration from the ‘The Grit’ book that I illustrated.
If the raffle goes well, there will be extra secret bonus prizes too 🙂
Every pound I raise will be donated to Mesothelioma UK 💙
Tickets are £1 a go and you can donate any amount you wish, if you donate £5 you will get five chances to win… £10, ten chances to win and so on.
You can donate by clicking on Dad’s Much Loved page (below) or through PayPal or me (message me)
https://alan-jeffrey-white.muchloved.com/
Each person will be given a number or numbers which match the donation amount and these will then be put into a random online number picker to pick the winner!
PLEASE be sure to leave your NAME when you donate so I can identify the winner.
The winning number will be picked on 20th December 2021.
Thank you so much for any donation you make and please share to help raise awareness of this cruel disease and raise even more money in Dad’s memory, thank you all from the bottom of my heart, Paula xx 💙
Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that occurs in the thin layer of tissue that covers the majority of the body’s internal organs. More than 2,600 people are diagnosed with the condition each year in the UK. It is caused by the exposure to asbestos and can take 10 to 50 years to emerge after initial exposure. It is an aggressive and deadly form of cancer, that causes a painful cough, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, abdominal pain and weight loss. Unfortunately, it’s rarely possible to cure mesothelioma, although treatment can help control the symptoms if detected earlier.
Dedicated to the memory of my Dad, Alan.
