I am Marie-Laure Warner, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psycho-Therapeutic Counsellor with extensive experience supporting both young individuals and adults. I hold accreditations from esteemed organisations, including the National Hypnotherapy Society, the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With a background

as a teacher working with young people, I discovered a profound desire to engage with individuals on a more personal level. This realisation led me to transition into the field of therapy, where I could offer guidance during a pivotal time marked by confusion, isolation, and uncertainty about one’s present self and future aspirations. My approach to counselling and hypnotherapy is characterised by a compassionate, professional, and friendly demeanor. My overarching goal is to assist clients in reframing their thinking, boosting confidence and self-esteem, and empowering them to regain control over their well-being. By facilitating this transformative process, clients acquire new perspectives to tackle challenges and develop essential skills for navigating whatever the future may hold.

🌿 The Three Parts of the Mind: Emotional, Rational, and Wise 🌿

We all have two main ways of thinking—the emotional mind and the rational mind. The emotional mind responds from our feelings, and can sometimes lead us to react impulsively. The rational mind is based on logic and facts, helping us analyse situations without letting feelings get in the way. Both are important, but sometimes they clash, leaving us feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

✨ This is where the Wise Mind comes in. ✨
The Wise Mind balances both the emotional and rational parts, helping you make decisions that honour both your feelings and your logic. It guides you through difficult situations, integrating information from both your heart and your head to find the most thoughtful, compassionate path forward.

💡 One way to strengthen your Wise Mind is to pause and breathe before reacting. Taking a few deep breaths creates space to check in with both your emotions and thoughts—allowing the Wise Mind to lead, rather than letting one side take over.

If you're feeling torn between your emotions and logic, or if you struggle with making decisions that align with your true self, working on accessing your Wise Mind can be transformative.

Spring has a way of reminding us to slow down, breathe, and notice the world around us. The warmth of the sun, the movement of the water, the fresh scent in the air—all simple moments that ground us in the present.
