Monday saw the return of Dean and Naomi to continue the From Grit To High Rise project. We spent a wonderful, (and occasionally emotional) morning watching their videos of old Lowestoft and sharing many memories of times past. As always we thank The Seagull Theatre for this amazing opportunity.

We had a jam packed week last week, including a beautiful performance from Ezme the cellist, we sang and danced along with Steve Hall and created some sweet kissing fish art using a multitude of craft skills 🐠

We have been incredibly lucky to of taken part in "From Grit To High Rise" this morning thanks to our friends at The Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft born writer and poet Dean Parkin and the lovely Naomi Jaffa.

We explored the history and transformation of Lowestoft, focusing on the area known as "The Grit," a former fishing village, and the high-rise St. Peter's Court. The project aims to gather stories and memories about these communities and we certainly contributed to that.

🇫🇷 Bastille Day 🇫🇷

Our fabulous kitchen team served up an absolute treat for the taste buds for lunch, with a menu of Beef Bourguignon or Chicken Chasseur, finished off with a delicious dessert of Profiteroles, resulting in lots of empty plates and full tummies. Hopefully there's room for the savoury croissants they've prepared for supper 😋

We've been getting into the spirit of Wimbledon (any excuse for a spot of balloon tennis keeps us happy) and our Moreen is definitely ready to give the Williams sisters a run for thier money 🎾😊
