🐰 Easter Fun at Kirkley Manor Care Home! 🐣
​What a "hoppy" day we had here at Kirkley Manor Care Home! There is nothing quite like the magic of Easter to bring a smile to everyone’s face, and this year was truly special.
​🎨 Crafting with Love
​Our residents spent a wonderful morning getting creative and channeled their inner Easter Bunnies to hand-craft beautiful Easter baskets. Every basket was made with a specific goal in mind: making sure the local children had the perfect vessel for their treats!
​🏃‍♂️ The Great Egg Hunt
​The real magic happened when the children arrived! Seeing the little ones racing around our gardens, clutching the baskets our residents worked so hard on, was a heartwarming sight. It’s wonderful to see the energy the children bring—it reminds us all of being young, and seeing their faces light up when they find a hidden egg is just priceless.
​🤝 Generations Coming Together
​This wasn't just about chocolate; it was a fantastic intergenerational activity. These moments allow our residents to share stories, laughter, and skills with the younger generation, creating a sense of community that warms the heart.

🎭 From the Stage to the Spa! 💅
​Our residents have had a week to remember, filled with creativity, culture, and a whole lot of sparkle.
​To celebrate National Theatre Day, we turned our lounge into a costume department! Everyone got stuck into a hat-making workshop, crafting their own bespoke headwear to wear for the main event. From the bold and bright to the classically elegant, the talent on display was incredible. 🎩✨
​After the "costume fitting," we headed to our internal cinema room for a front-row seat to a spectacular theatre production. There’s nothing quite like the magic of the stage to bring everyone together!
​✨ Recharging the Batteries
​After all that excitement, Friday was all about R&R. We hosted a Pamper Day to help everyone unwind. With relaxing treatments and a peaceful atmosphere, it was the perfect way to wrap up a busy, joyful week.

Blooms, Boards, and Beach Breezes! 🌸🎲
​We’ve had a week for the books here at Kirkley Manor! Our residents have been busy making memories and enjoying the best of the local area.
​We kicked things off with some floral therapy, creating stunning arrangements that have our home smelling like springtime. The competitive spirits then came out for a marathon game of Monopoly—let’s just say there are some very savvy landlords in our midst! 🏠💰
​To top it all off, we soaked up the fresh salt air with a stroll along the beach, followed by a well-deserved stop for tea and cake at Thatchers. Is there any better way to spend an afternoon than with a hot cuppa and a sweet treat? ☕🍰

Last week we were very busy. We enjoyed doing St Patrick's day art🍀 and then loved watching Lord of the Dance. 💃 Our residents enjoyed our hydration trolley, with a great selection of delicious fruit and drinks🍍. We enjoyed beach walks and exercised our brains. Friday pamper with nail care, and lovely hand massages is always a favourite. 😉
