Yesterday, Corin and Paul took residents to the Model Village in Great Yarmouth. They had a lot of fun checking out all the miniature scenes, and even tried their hand at miniature golf, despite the challenges they faced. Well done ladies!

Chef Ty Howell only joined the team in April, but so far has made quite the impression! 🤩

He can always be heard singing and laughing in the kitchen, which is lovely for others to hear (well, maybe not the singing, sorry Ty)

His food is cooked with care, and he often tries something new which he thinks the residents may like.

Ty ensures to check each mealtime that residents have enjoyed their food and asks for suggestions for anything they may like in the future.

Well done Ty, keep up the good work! 💜🏆

At the weekend, residents decided to take part in Lilacs version of the bushtucker trial (no 🐛🦟🐌🪲 involved).
Residents thought processes were stimulated through touch, trying to remember familiar textures and shapes. Everyone had a go and really enjoyed themselves.

Residents had a blustery 🌬️💨 walk along the sea front earlier this week, where they enjoyed got donuts and tea before having a play in the park and a stroll through the gardens. They finished their day with some crafts in the garden back at Home.

It's worth mentioning, as I kindly added the evidence, they encouraged Susan Wesley to behave her shoe size as opposed to her age and have a go on the monkey bars! Have to say, she's definitely still got it! 🐒 Well done Sue!

Derek, Paula, Ryan and Kim were privileged to join in with the Lowestoft Carnival, and be a part of the parade, along with Kirkley Manor and Kingsley Home Care. Derek's Greengrocers made a temporary comeback, with several people recognizing him, and Paula got to ride her first elephant, after falling in love with them whilst working as an aide to Roy Welensky when he was prime minister of Rhodesia.
