This we wanted to celebrate three new partnerships!

John, Chris and Susan are all first-time guide dog owners, and all qualified with their dogs last week.

International Guide Dog Day is all about the extraordinary guide dogs who empower people living with sight loss to lead independent, fulfilling lives.

Alongside enabling independence, guide dogs provide companionship, trust and emotional support, helping people with a vision impairment feel more confident in everyday life and more ready to take on new experiences.

Lesley is a Receptionist at Tyldesley with 12 and a half years service. Her favourite part of the job is helping the patients.

Wondering what our machines do?🤔

This is an OCT scannner (Ocular Coherence Tomography). It allows us to see the eye as a 3D image and the deeper layers that we can’t see from just taking a normal retina picture. It helps us detect certain diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration upto 4 years in advance👏🏽🔎
