It's tried and tested techniques have helped THOUSANDS of women over the last 24 years birth their babies in COMFORT & BLISS! 😍 "This is some kind of magic!!!!" - One of my SleepTalk Dads! 😍

Just received this amazing feedback from one of my SleepTalk™ Dads....

"What a day! So we've done SleepTalk every night (14 nights) and noticed a change in W. There is a change in attitude definitely. Then today he comes home, proud as punch, with a headteachers award for showing values of caring and cooperation noticed by the headteacher in PE today. This is some kind of magic!!!! 3 weeks ago we were having screaming fits just the idea of going to school!!"

SleepTalk is both miraculous (& now magical!) in boosting a child's happiness and changing their behaviour.

** Would you like some CALM for Christmas? Wish you could be a HAPPIER family for the holidays? The Goulding SleepTalk™ Process can help **

Christmas can be a tricky time for some children and their families, it isn't always the 'Holly Jolly Time' that it should be.

Simply being out of the usual routine can create anxiety in some children, aswell as being 'stuck' indoors or being made to spend unwanted time with siblings or relatives, and this can often manifest in unwanted and disruptive behaviours.

However, there is something you can do to ease your child's anxiety, eliminate the unwanted behaviours and bring calm into the household.

The Goulding SleepTalk™ Process was developed in the 1970's and empowers parents to improve and balance their child's behaviour.

It's for parents looking for a simple, non-intrusive way to develop a child's emotional resilience and strengthen the mind's firewall, protecting it against the negative suggestions that bombard it daily, effecting their self-worth.

The dramatic positive changes and calmness it creates will permeate through the entire family, leading to a happier, healthier homelife for all.

It's been called "the two minute gift that lasts a lifetime". It's easy to learn and takes parents only two minutes to use at bedtime. It's absolutely safe, ethical and positive.

Parents and healthcare professionals have called the Process a powerful self-help programme which parents and childcare professionals have been using for more than 35 years.

They endorse it because it works - helping to reduce anxiety and stress, developing a positive self-confidence, empowering children to manage, improve and balance their behaviour, anxiety and relationships.

If you would like a free phone consultation to see if SleepTalk™ can help you, contact Rachel@Peaceful-Parenting.co.uk and for more information visit www.Peaceful-Parenting.co.uk

Here's to a happy, healthy holiday! 🎄🎅🤶

❤ "Teaching teenagers the science behind babies' brain development gives them practical skills as future parents" Oxford study shows ❤

😍😍 I love this!! 😍😍

I have long been fascinated/obsessed with the development stages of a child's brain and just how much we affect it, both positively & negatively.

For example, did you know that the foundations of a baby's brain are actually built within the first SIX weeks of pregnancy! This is before most women even know that they're pregnant!!

And that just as the chemicals from our food & drink cross the umbilical cord and effect the baby, so too do the chemicals that our body produces, our hormones, cross the cord and have the same effect on the baby's body as they do on ours. So our happy hormones cross the cord and effect baby, but so too do our fear & stress hormones.

Once a pregnant mum knows & understands this she can start to notice when she begins to feel all the emotions that produce these unwanted hormones and, where possible, make changes to limit them.

But don't worry, it's impossible to spend 9 months without ever feeling stressed, sad, scared or angry, and I expect it's important for the baby's development to experience all of these feelings whilst in the safety of their mum, the important thing is to do what you can to limit them.

So I am thrilled that more is being done to educate everyone about this and that in particular it's going to start being taught in schools!

🤩 Go Duchess Kate!! 🤩

** 😍 Exciting news for pregnant women!! 😍 **

The UK's healthcare watchdog, NICE, have updated their guidelines today to recommend that all pregnant women who begin to bleed should be given progesterone - a naturally occurring hormone that prepares & maintains a healthy uterus for the growing of a baby.

Research has shown progesterone can significantly help women who have previously suffered a miscarriage, suggesting it could lead to 8,450 more babies being born in the UK each year...woo!!

Of-course, there are many reasons a miscarriage may occur - one of the main being that the development of the embryo has ended (most likely due to chromosomal differences within the egg & s***m) - and progesterone will not help in these circumstances, but in circumstances where bleeding is the main issue this is fantastic news.

It isn't commonly known, but there is a direct link between progesterone and the stress hormone cortisol. Both hormones utilise the same receptors within the body, so if there are high levels of cortisol in the body, which there often are when we have been trying for a baby for a long time (starting a family can be a very stressful time!), there will be low levels of progesterone.

Which is why I promote & teach regular relaxation practise and mind & body techniques to keep cortisol levels low from the moment you've decided to become pregnant to the moment your baby is born, to help maintain a calm & relaxed life.

As someone who has suffered numerous miscarriages and had to firmly push (having been denied) to be given progesterone during my last pregnancy, I am utterly thrilled that NICE have made these changes, giving women an extra level of protection at a very difficult time.

Go NICE!! 😀

The treatment could lead to 8,450 more babies being born each year in the UK, experts say.

"I had no painkillers or gas & air...he came out in 6 pushes... it was all perfect." Sadie, one of our HypnoBirthing Mums 🤩🤩

❤😀❤😀❤😀❤😀❤😀❤😀❤

I am so excited to have just received this birth story from one of my HypnoBirthing Mums for the birth of her second HypnoBirthing baby - beautiful baby Caleb!!

Because she & her partner attended one of my HypnoBirthing Courses a couple of years ago for the birth of their first son, I ran a couple of HypnoBirthing Refresher Sessions with them over Zoom a few weeks back, to go through the key techniques and do a little hypnosis work.

So, congratulations Sadie & Jack on the birth of beautiful baby Caleb. I am so pleased that his birth was as peaceful and calm as your first birth, with big brother Finn.

"..I went in on Friday to have a check for reduced movements and then got sucked into a 5-day battle with the hospital who wanted to induce me...They tried to tell me I had diabetes and said he was too big to be born at home or in the pool. Against ‘advice’ we declined any induction, apart from a sweep on Sunday.

Then Tuesday at 6pm my hind waters broke. 7pm contractions started, 9.20pm pushing, 9.46pm born! Jack was still frantically filling the pool... The midwife made it with 45 mins to spare and he came out in 6 pushes.

I had no painkillers or gas & air...We are still a bit shell shocked, but it was all perfect x"

Fantastic!! Can't wait to meet him! 🥰

“I was doing a lot of work to prepare myself and my body...I was looking forward to being in labor...I wasn't looking at birth as something scary.”

This might not have been the birth that opera singer Emily Geller Hardman had been planning for, but her birth preparation had certainly stood her in good stead for birthing her daughter in the back of their car!!

And that's one thing that HypnoBirthing gives you, the confidence to deal with whatever turn your birthing takes! 🙂

"I consciously made the decision to not freak out," Emily Geller Hardman tells PEOPLE

I just love this photo. Is there anything cuter than a dad and their baby? Do you have any daddy-baby photos for us to coo over? 😀

“Research shows just 30 minutes of skin to skin with dad on the first day of a newborn actually rewires dad’s brain. Stimulating many hormones especially Dopmine and Oxytocin so dads get connected to their babies and want to nurture them.” YES. Dads, get those cuddles in! ❤️

I find this so true. Can anyone else relate??! 😀

I find this so true. Can anyone else relate??! 😀

I used to wonder why my mom was always the last one out of the house.

I thought for a while it was because she took the longest to get ready.

I figured she sometimes waited until the last minute.

I had the suspicion she didn’t want to go out in public without her hair done or lip liner on, even though I couldn’t imagine why a mom would care so much, really.

I only recently figured out the answer, having become a mom myself.

Because while the rest of us waited outside, all bundled up in the scarves and jackets and hats she had pulled from storage, or smothered in sunscreen she had smeared on our faces while we clutched the flip-flops and swimsuits she had doled out, and rolled our eyes about how long she was taking—

Mom was filling thermoses with hot chocolate,

and packing picnic lunches,

and making sure the bathroom light was off,

and refilling the dog’s water bowl,

and grabbing a spare change of clothes for us just in case,

and searching through the junk drawer for a coupon,

and taking a hot minute to use the bathroom by herself for a change,

and yes, maybe dabbing on a bit of lipstick.

And whenever she did finally appear, pulling on her jacket as she locked the front door, she was always met with an exasperated,

“Come OOOONNN, Mom!”

To which she would respond by shooting daggers from her eyes.

For the longest time, I didn’t get it. She had started at the same time we did!

Then I became a mom.

And it finally dawned on me that my mom wasn’t the last one out because she was lazy or disorganized or slow or overly concerned about her appearance . . .

It was because she took care of absolutely everyone and everything else before she took care of herself.

And that's just what moms do.

It's totally understandable that when you're pregnant you might pause a moment before getting your covid jab, but remember that pregnant women are regularly getting vaccines during their pregnancy here in the UK - flu & whooping cough - and so listening to the experts talk on this matter will hopefully put your mind at rest.

A study in the US of over 90,000 pregnant women given the Pfizer or Moderna shots found no safety concerns whatsoever 🙂

As the Covid vaccine is rolled out to younger age groups, BBC News looks at what it means for anyone expecting a baby.

**Places still available on June's HypnoBirthing™ Antenatal Course, starting in TWO weeks**

Have an EASIER, more COMFORTABLE & more CONFIDENT birth with Marie Mongan's HypnoBirthing™ - the world’s ORIGINAL hypnobirthing programme and is accredited by the ROYAL COLLEGE of MIDWIVES.

HypnoBirthing™ is a birthing method which uses specific BREATHING, RELAXATION & SELF-HYPNOSIS techniques (hypnosis simply being deep relaxation) to help women achieve a CALM & RELAXED birth, allowing her & her partner to enjoy their incredibly special day.

The HypnoBirthing™ Course is not just for mums, but also hugely benefits her BIRTH COMPANION; teaching them HOW to be the support that mum will need and giving them confidence in their specific and vital role.

The HypnoBirthing™ Course is based on the principle that pain is NOT an automatic part of childbirth, but that it is our FEAR of birthing that creates TENSION in the body and it's this tension that causes the PAIN - it's called the FEAR-TENSION-PAIN Syndrome. Thus, when we take away the FEAR (which this course does) we take away the TENSION, which takes away the PAIN.

This is why 70% of mums who use Marie Mongan’s HypnoBirthing™ say they experienced NO PAIN AT ALL - myself included, even though I was induced!

One of my HypnoBirthing mums’ sent me her birth story and this part perfectly sums up the POWER & EFFECTIVENESS of HypnoBirthing™...

"I was strapped up to a monitor at one point and had a contraction, which was quite strong and a little painful. The chart had it in the 30s. Another came along so I used the HypnoBirthing™ breathing technique and it felt fine. I asked Pete what the number was, expecting it to be quite low as IT HADN'T HURT, but this time it was over 100! Amazing isn't it. It really works!"

The HypnoBirthing™ Course is a COMPLETE ANTENATAL course, consisting of FOUR 3 hour classes. It can be taken anytime from 13 weeks, with between 20 & 25 weeks being the ideal.

However, if you don’t discover HypnoBirthing™ till later in your pregnancy (;ike me!) DON’T WORRY, it is NEVER too late; I’ve taught couples at 38 weeks who still went on to have great births.

We’re ecstatic here at Blissful Births to have taught well over 100 couples and feel privileged to have been a part of their pregnancy & birthing journeys, supporting and preparing them for one of the most incredible days of their lives.

Aswell as the 12 hours of teaching that you will receive on the course (there is no quick fix to eliminating our life-long instilled fear of childbirth!), you will also receive a copy of Marie Mongan's world-renowned book “HypnoBirthing : The breakthrough approach to safer, easier, comfortable birthing”, your own beautifully illustrated Course Workbook containing all the information you will need and the Course-Exclusive Rainbow Relaxation Guided Meditation CD/MP3, which helps you condition your body to reach deep relaxation quickly & easily.

Because of the current Covid situation ALL our classes are being held LIVE ONLINE via Zoom.

Because we are online you no longer need to be located near the Holistic Clinic in Ludlow to join a course, you can now live on the other side of the world! It also means that if you have a friend who too is pregnant, but lives a distance away from you, you can now take the course together!

Aswell as teaching group courses I also teach the course privately (for one or more couples), allowing us more flexibility on timeframe and enabling us to schedule the classes in and around your other commitments. Daytimes and weekends are available for private courses. If this would be of interest do get in touch for more details.

If you are unavailable on Thursday evenings do get in touch as I teach classes on other evenings sporadically.
