Do you ever have it when you've watched something, or read something, and thought....that just changed my world?
It's very meta, that this video is about that, but also DID that for me today.
I've not found writing easy lately. I have so many concepts running round my head, but then speed through AI scuppers me, I think, "ask AI to write it". It will be quicker, but when I do it never quite says what I want it to say. It's not done my confidence a great deal of good.
And yet when I listened to Alan Moore this morning, he reminded me where my words live. How they have magic that despite being engineered that way, AI can't conjure...yet.
I love his advice pictured through the suits of the Tarot, and as I saw the suits in my head, a thought formed...that I could see a whole essential oil framework for writing emerging.
In particular, I was gripped by his description of how swords are incisive thoughts that help you determine the structure and intelligence if an idea. I could almost feel spearmint touching my shoulder.
Discs. About the material world. Money yes, but also just how things work. Geranium and ginger seemed to call.
Cups, the emotions, but also the characters, human nature...the call to know thyself as much as you seek to understand your characters to bring them alive in your tales. Compassion, which for me, feels lik it might be rose and h**p.
And lastly, the greatest. The wands. Those that exert their actions through will. How do we refine, direct and assert our will...not least to see a project through to completion?
For me, that has got to be fennel. With its ability to push, push, push through even when stamina is all but gone.
And look!
Thank you Alan...You broke my curse...it looks like I may indeed be finally writing.
Do watch this video. You will love it.
I'd love to hear you thoughts about oils that affect willpower.
