Applications are now open for the 2026 Spring Mare Inspections, supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine under the Equine Technical Support programme.

Its seminar season at NIHB!!

We are delighted to hold a Sports Performance Seminar on **NEW DATE*** Wednesday 4TH MARCH 2026 at the Meadows Equestrian Centre Conference Room.

This is a free event, but placed must be booked. Booking is simple, please go to our website www.nihorseboard.org and click on 'News.'.

We will be joined on the night by Sports Performance Psychologist Ellie Humphries and Performance Coach Victoria Teuton, who will take attendees through how the theory of controlling your pre competition nerves can be put into practice in the ring, and how your time off the horse can also help you conquer the stresses and pressures of competing.

The evening will be suitable for athletes, parents, coaches

Northern Ireland Horse Boad launch appointment service.

In addition to general enquires, the Northern Ireland Horse Board are now setting aside appointment space for those requiring 1 to 1 assistance or if a client would like assistance with matters in confidence.

Whether it’s for assistance with DAERA Equine Establishment Number (EEN) applications, support with Horse Sport Ireland Breeding initiatives, Horse Source Studbook registration or Access NI and Garda Clearance ID Verification, NIHB are here to help!

Based at the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, the Northern Ireland Horse Board will be allocating appointments in 15 minute slots between 2pm and 4pm daily. Booking is simple, please go along to our website www.nihorseboard.org or WhatsApp our office on 028 383 43355.
