I have a rule when it comes to making any herbal remedies, handmade lotions or potions.....
Don't make anything when you're not well -

This is #1 - because I don't want to pass any lurgy onto anyone (lol!) ....
#2 - because most importantly... if my body needs to focus on healing- I won't be able to pass healing energies into what I'm making for my awesome customers!!!

Fair to say my health from before Xmas hasn't been great.... hence my lack of posts !!!

Now- my mental health has taken a real beating

So I will be taking a step back from making on a regular basis to focus in selfcare and getting myself back into ..... Well a better headspace I guess! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I will be happy to make one of my balms, facial oil, eye serum, hair growth oil or any of my products for you- just send a wee message/DM .....
I just won't be making any big batches for awhile

Just wanting to wish you all a very merry Christmas/xmas/yule/Feliz Navidad/Nollaig Shona ..... however you call it and however you celebrate this time of year .....

OR if you don't celebrate at all this time of year ....

I wanted to send some love, huggles and well wishes, also a wee reminder to focus on the places/things/people that are special to you..... this time of year its very easy to get caught up in the gift giving- for me, I have cut back this year- I have bought gifts but not as much as I normally would..... this isn't me being stingy - its me making a commitment to spend more quality time with these special people in 2025..... making amazing memories together and being there for eachother more

2024 went by in a blink and I definitely didnt spend quality time with folks as much as I would have liked to!!

So instead of buying stuff that people probably don't need...... I want to spend time doing new things, making memories, laughing, crying and spreading some love!

Winter Solstice and beginning of Yule..... let the festivities and celebrations begin!!

Finished work today for the next two weeks, spent a lovely afternoon round with my parents, did my mom's nails and cut her hair ..... this time of year I tend to want to spend time with loved ones rather than spending time shopping or stressing!

Will be making the last of my Xmas orders for my amazing customers this evening and over the weekend..... then its time to chill, overindulgence and watch a bunch of movies

Another NEW product announcement.....
Well TWO new products!!!

Again over the last few years I have noticed my skin changing ..... not feeling as radiant or as nourished as it once did

This again can be down to a number of things.... getting older, DEFINITELY not drinking enough water, day to day pollutants around me and possibly harsh chemicals, preservatives and perfumes in products and skin care

So I decided to make an all natural serum/facial oil.... at least that way I would know what was in it and what I would be putting on my skin!!

The oils chosen for this facial serum were picked for the deeply nourishing properties and to help promote deep healing within the skin to promote a healthy glow

After some research and trials I have settled on this recipe..... I have been trialling this out for many months now and have found this has helped to give my skin back that glow, it feels deeply nourished and any wee random breakouts I get disappear VERY quickly

Even though this serum has oils in it I don't find it leaves my skin feeling like an oil slick and absorbs in very wrinkly (obviously depending on how much of the serum you apply to the face lol!!)

Pair this up with my eye serum..... Well these two products are the perfect combo for deeply nourished skin, bonus of the symptoms serum is that the metal roller ball is super cooling on tired and puffy eyes (even more so if you keep it in the fridge!!)

I was always blessed with a head of full, healthy and shiney hair .....

However over the last few years my hair lost its luster, it was feeling brittle and started to get finer, then with every shower I noticed a was loosing more and more hair

Now I have always been very gentle and kind to my hair- no heavy, vigorous or excessive brushing..... use a deep conditioning mask either weekly or every two weeks, I also don't blow dry my hair regularly- preferring to let it air dry as much as possible and use a silk hair scarf to "roll it up" durring bedtime to prevent frizz and breakages

But sadly my hair continued to get finer and fall out

Now I'm still not 100% of the cause.... perhaps cus I'm getting older, perhaps because I have thyroid issues, perhaps it's linked to endo or medication ....
Who knows

But with the help of using my NEW hair growth oil treatment (which I've been trialling out for a few months now) I am happy to report my hair is feeling fuller, stronger and I've noticed a real boost in hair growth.... even fresh new growth in areas my hair had started to really thin out!!

Another bonus..... my scalp psoriasis is more under control, with a big reduction in those red and itchy flare ups and the flakiness is getting less and less!

Anyone else noticed the skin on their hands dry, cracked and painful at the moment?

With the somewhat changeable weather lately and most of us having the central heating on a but more recently..... this mixed with the fact that people don't tend to drink as much water this time of year (preferring to partake in a warmer beverage what with the colder weather!)

Well that all leads to dehydration of the body .... inside and out!

How is it October already??

I do love this time of year.... the cooler crisper days, the autumn smells, leaves changing colour and that amazing sound of crispy leaves under foot when out for walks.... spooky season just round the corner - gotta love it!!

For most people this time of year makes them sad for the end of summer..... for me- this is when I start to come alive again!

With the cooler weather round the corner perhaps it's time to treat your skin to some facial oil, or a deep conditioning hair growth oil ....
