Did you know, last year our Children’s Play Team held 748 play activities for children with life-limiting conditions?

These play sessions allow children like Robin, and their families to have fun in a safe, comforting environment. Not only does it give children the chance to make friends and experience sensory play, but it allows parents to chat and confide in one another.

We’re lucky to have some wonderful outdoor spaces at our hospice, all looking beautiful thanks to our incredible team of gardening volunteers.

Our gardens provide a safe space for patients and loved ones to enjoy quality time and make memories. It's also a lovely place to take a moment and reflect on loved ones. 💜

At Keech, we know that friendship is more than just a word, to some, it's a lifeline. 💬

At all of our supporter groups, we've seen how powerful connections can be. From shared stories and laughter to quiet support on tough days, our patients show us every day what true friendship looks like.

Whether it’s a warm smile over a cup of tea or a hand to hold during difficult moments, these bonds bring comfort to those who need it most. ❤️

Today marks 20 years since the passing of Dame Cicely Saunders - the founder of the modern hospice movement and the inspiration behind the care we provide every day at Keech Hospice. ❤️

Dame Cicely introduced the concept ‘total pain’ which highlights not just the physical pain, but also psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual suffering of a palliative condition.

Her pioneering vision is what continues to drive modern hospice care today, and here at Keech, we continue to support patients of all ages, and their families in any way they need us – treating not just the physical pain, but the emotional pain too.

We are proud to carry forward her mission of dignity, love, and hope at the end-of-life, and today we honoured her with a trail around our hospice, reminding people that we’re here because of her vision.

Thank you, Dame Cicely. ❤️

“It was a real honour to be able to run the London Marathon in support of an incredible cause like Keech Hospice. Since becoming the local MP, I have visited Keech and seen the wonderful work they do to support families during the most difficult times.” - Blake Stephenson MP

A huge thank you to Blake Stephenson MP and everyone in for taking on the London Marathon for us. The funds you’ve raised will allow us to continue supporting patients and families when they need us most. ❤️
