Back from a
. Christian youth festival and my heart is overflowing with the blessings of spending a week with our youth group of 50. Such amazing young kids who shone their lights for the Lord in praise!
As I step back into daily life I want to continue to shine and let GOD shine his light on others around me.

In my early years of teaching I worried about taking time off, what if no one came back?

There was also an internal pressure to prove myself, to show up, to grow my classes.

Rest felt like a luxury I hadn't earned. I felt too busy to rest. But is it actually fear that stops us from resting? For me, fear of losing students, being seen as lazy or inconsistent, of not being needed.

Ironically the more I teach myself to slow down and breathe, to stop and to rest the better I feel, I'm more present in class, I have more energy to create, more energy to learn, to be ME!
