Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects over 3% of the adult population. Starting in childhood, it can cause significant problems with attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and emotional regulation. It is commonly missed and misdiagnosed. However, once recognised and diagnosed, it can be treated and managed with medication and psychosocial interventions.

Adult ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder and learning difficulty which starts in childhood. It is also recognised as a disability under the Equality Act 2010. Fortunately it can be diagnosed and treated but unfortunately it is commonly missed and misdiagnosed.

People with ADHD experience heightened physical and emotional sensitivity and reactivity. ADHD assessment, ADHD diagnosis and ADHD medication titration can help manage emotional dysregulation.

People with ADHD feel emotions more intensely than do people without the condition. For many, difficulty with emotional regulation is one of the most challenging symptoms to manage.

Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has died aged 39 after battling breast cancer.

The singer’s mother Marie broke the news in an Instagram post on Sunday, announcing that her daughter had died that morning.

Alongside a black and white photo of the star, she wrote: ‘It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.

‘Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning. ‘

Marie continued: ‘I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.

‘I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead – Marie x.’

Psilocybin ("magic mushrooms") is as effective as SSRI antidepressant Escitalopram in treating moderate to severe depression, according to a new study by The Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London.
