May is nearly done.

It may have been a good month for you. It may have been one of the harder ones.

Either way, you made it through every single day of it. That’s not nothing.

Brother to Brother exists because we know what it looks like when men carry too much alone. We’ve lived it. We’ve lost people to it.

We’re not here to fix you. We’re not here to tell you how to feel.

We’re just here. Walking alongside you. Every Walk & Talk. Every event.

Something is building.

September 19th. One day. Hundreds of men.

Last year over 80 brothers showed up for our first ever annual awareness event. This year we’re going bigger.
We’re not ready to share everything yet, but we want you to save the date now.

Bank holiday Monday.

For some of you that’s a lie-in, a BBQ, and a long walk.

For some of you it’s just another day that feels a bit louder and a bit lonelier than usual.

Both are valid. Both are real.

If you’re doing well, enjoy it. You’ve earned it.

If you’re not, that’s okay too. Today doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s bank holiday.

Get outside if you can. Even for ten minutes. Even just to the end of the road.

We’re here. We’re always here.

A lot of the men who come to our walks are dads.

Some@of themay have thought the same thing at some point:
“I just don’t want my kids to see me struggle.”

We get it. But here’s the thing:

Your kids don’t need you to be invincible. They need you to be present. They need to see that it’s okay to have hard days and still show up. That asking for help is strength, not weakness.

The best thing you can model for your children is that men talk. Men feel. Men reach out when they need to.

That lesson lasts a lifetime.

You don’t need to love exercise.

You just need to know what it does.

30 minutes of moderate movement reduces cortisol (your stress hormone). It releases endorphins. It improves sleep. It gives you something to focus on that isn’t the thing you’re worrying about.

It won’t fix everything. But it makes everything easier to face.

You don’t need:
❌ A gym
❌ Kit
❌ A plan
❌ To enjoy it

You just need:
✅ 20–30 minutes
✅ To start

Walk. Bike. Kick a ball. Do the garden. Whatever gets you moving.

Do it today if you can.

Walking in Memory of Tom Phillips

Today we have the honour of joining David and Martin on the Reeth to Richmond stretch of the iconic Coast to Coast walk and what a privilege it is.

David and Martin are walking this incredible route to raise vital funds in memory of Tom Phillips, David’s beloved son, who sadly died by su***de at the age of just 29. Tom is remembered with so much love, and every step of this walk is a tribute to him.

They are raising money for three incredible charities:

The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion is a British charity providing financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.

Grassroots Su***de Prevention - Grassroots Su***de Prevention empowers people to help save lives from su***de through connecting, educating, and campaigning nationally.
They also created the award-winning Stay Alive app, a resource full of tools and information to help users stay safe in crisis, which has been downloaded over 500,000 times.

SOBS - Survivors of Bereavement by Su***de
SoBS is the only UK-based organisation offering peer-led support to adults impacted by su***de loss. They help individuals support each other, both at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow

We joined them on this stretch not only to walk alongside them, but to stand with them in their mission to raise awareness, to break the silence, and to help remove the stigma that still surrounds mental health and su***de.

Too many families know this pain. Too many people suffer in silence. Conversations save lives, and walks like this one remind us that we are stronger together.

Stress doesn’t always look like stress. Sometimes it looks like this.

Sometimes it looks like snapping at someone you love. Lying awake at 3am. Going quiet. Drinking a bit more. Feeling numb.
Your body keeps the score even when your brain is telling you you’re fine.

5 of our favourite walks in Beds & Herts 🌿

Fresh air and movement are two of the most underrated tools for mental health. No gym membership required.
Here are five that we love, bookmark this one:

Water End Circular: This is a circular route around the Chiltern countryside, taking in open farmland with beautiful views and the various old mills and
houses along the River Gade.

Berkhamsted and Grand Union Canal
Circular Walk: This is a pub walk starting and finishing at the Kings Arms in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. This means you have a great place for refreshments, after your walk.

Kempston Circular Walk: This is a lovely countryside trail taking you through the farmlands, Kempston Wood Park, and Buttons Ramsey over a mix of paved roads and rougher paths.

Ampthill Circular Walk: Enjoy a nice walk through Ampthill then to Ampthill Park.

Dunstable Downs Circular: This a lovely, scenic walk with great views as you make your way around Dunstable Downs, along the town streets, and across the farmlands.

You don’t need a reason to go. You don’t need a destination. Just go.

Looking for some help. We have a very noisy generator that we have for the walk and talks. When we are in the more residential we would like it to be quieter. If we buy the material is there anyone that could make something similar to this. TIA
