Pics from the final day of The Baby Show on Sunday a little later than planned! It’s been a busy few days!! 😅 We had another great day providing info on the classes we offer as well as first aid advice in our demo sessions! I managed to pop next door to have a nosy round the Allergy and Free From Show which was also running at the same time at the NEC. It was lovely meeting Tracey and the team from Anaphylaxis UK as well as some of the team from Allergy UK too! 😊💚 Thanks also to Niraj and his team from Things Happen who are our show sponsors, for keeping us fuelled and energised with caffeine and cake all weekend too! 👌🍰☕️

Most people would say they have heard of sepsis, but when asked whether they know the signs and symptoms, the answer is different.

At Mini First Aid, we educate about sepsis in all of our first aid classes. It's something we take very seriously because sepsis claims the lives of 50,000 people in the UK every single year.

Last week, our founder Kate was at the Houses of Parliament for a reception with our charity partners The UK Sepsis Trust. Hosted by the brilliant sepsis survivor ‘Bionic Peer’ Lord Craig Mackinlay, together with Harry Redknapp, Melissa Mead MBE and actor Jason Watkins. An incredible gathering of people, all focused on saving lives. The stories were so moving.

Thank you to Dr Ron Daniels BEM and Sarah Hamilton-Fairley for filling a room with health care professionals, passionate educators, those with lived experience of sepsis, and government representatives who truly care about the future of sepsis research, education and treatment.

This event really drove home how important our work in raising sepsis awareness in the community through our first aid classes really is, and we continue to support The UK Sepsis Trust wherever we can.

We deliver award-winning 2-hour baby & child first aid classes, along with classes for children and workplace courses too. It’s meaningful, flexible work with real impact- perfect for someone who loves to help others and wants to make a real difference.

⭐️ What We’re Looking For:
We're after someone warm, engaging caring, and energetic, who is passionate about helping people to learn life-saving skills.

Ideally, you’ll:
✅ Hold a current First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid certificate (or be willing to get them)
✅ Have a Level 3 teaching/training qualification (or be happy to work towards one)
✅ Be a confident and enthusiastic communicator who enjoys working with both adults and children
✅ Be flexible and happy to travel across Coventry, Warwickshire & South Leicestershire
✅ Have a full driving licence and your own car

Extra bonus points if:

* You have a medical, first aid or nursing background
* You're a qualified teacher, especially with primary or early years experience
* You're based in any of these areas: Lutterworth/South Leicestershire/Rugby/Coventry area

Freddie's Wish - Warwickshire is a fantastic charity based in Rugby which supports local families, and I’m proud to partner with them, as well as being fortunate to call Charlotte my friend. 🥰 Their fabulous summer ball is being held at Coombe Abbey on 27th June!

This event is an important fundraiser to help the charity to continue the wonderful work they do in providing vital grief counselling services and running first aid classes for as many people as possible.
