🌿 Gardener Wanted 🌿

We’re looking for a gardener to help us tidy and maintain the outside areas at the Hub while work continues on the project.

At the moment things are looking a little overgrown, and we’d really love some help getting the space looking cared for and welcoming again for the families and young people who visit us.

This can be paid work or support from someone local who would simply like to help, we’re open to both.

The boys are coming back to the Forest 💙🚴‍♂️

After battling their way down from Scotland, Mike & Paul will be back at the Hub on Friday morning before setting off again for the final stretch of their journey down to Cornwall.

We would love as many people as possible to come down and wave them off, cheer them on, and show them the support they deserve 🙌

And if anybody would like to join them for part of the ride on Friday, you are more than welcome too.

They’ve pushed through some unbelievably tough days already, and knowing people are behind them really does make a difference.

Let’s give them a proper Forest send-off 💙

We don’t normally share the progress as we go along with our rooms, but with this soft playroom needing so much work, we thought we’d take you all along on the journey with us.

As you can see from the videos, we’ve been very busy over the bank holiday weekend trying to remove all the awful plaster from the walls, and when we say awful, we mean awful! It definitely hasn’t been an easy task, and we’ve all ended up with sore hands and plenty of blisters, but seeing the original stonework underneath has made it all worthwhile.

Unfortunately, this room still needs a huge amount of work before it can become the soft playroom we envision for the children and families who will use it.

We’re now reaching out to our amazing community to ask for help. We are still looking for:• A company to help with the damp proof course• An electrician to help fit lighting• Help fitting our new radiators

If anyone can recommend somebody reliable, donate materials, offer support, or help in any way at all, we would be incredibly grateful.

This room is going to need a lot of TLC, but we’re determined to make it happen 💛

A huge thank you as well to Glevum Windows, Doors & Conservatories for already coming out to assess the windows and for supporting us with replacements.
