Today is May 1st and here begins the final month of LYDNEY FOOTCARE CLINIC based at 19, Newerne Street. Sadly, this premise will add to the growing number of empty business’ on the high street.

Negligence to the maintenance of the property, and the spreading damp and mould, has left me no alternative but to vacate.

Taking advantage of semi retirement, I am happy to be limiting my working days to just two a week at CLAREMONT HOUSE, Lydney.

I am already fully booked for the next five months and unable to take on any new business.

I do, however have two lovely professional ladies that can offer home visits.

As from Friday May 29th 2026 Lydney Footcare Clinic will cease to operate from 19, Newerne Street GL15 5RA

This is a decision I have been forced to make due to damp and spreading mould affecting the interior of the premise which I lease. A condition that in time will become a health risk to both myself as a tennant, and some of my more vulnerable patients.

It is unfortunate that the new owner, based in London has refused to repair and maintain the property which was sold at auction last year.

After much consideration I feel I have little choice but to terminate my tenancy.

I am not retiring and will continue to offer a professional foot care service for three days a week only, to my valued and longstanding patients

No one likes having cold feet, but it's not good for you either. We've outlined some top tips to help you keep your feet warm over winter.

Avoid having bare feet
Make sure to always wear socks, slippers or shoes around the house. If your feet get cold at night, then go to bed wearing socks

Keep your socks and feet dry
If your socks or feet get wet, heat is transferred away from them, so make sure to wear dry waterproof shoes when you go out.

Put your feet up or keep moving
If you're sat down, keep your feet up on a stool – hot air rises, so floor level is likely to be the coldest part of a room. If you're at home, try and move your legs around to keep blood circulating to your feet.

Opt for woolly socks
Wear woolly socks or socks containing an insulating material in the winter to keep your feet warm.

Due to the rising costs in running a small business, I am being forced to increase my prices as from 1st January 2026

For a first visit which includes the compulsory consultation the cost will be £50 and follow up treatments will be £47
I have kept my increase as low as possible by just £2 per treatment, and trust you will understand
