Once more we are nearing the time when Christian Churches traditionally celebrate “All Souls Day”.
There are a number of churches in our area who hold services giving anyone who has been recently (or less recently) bereaved the opportunity to remember “those we love, but see no longer” and a number of our families have found these services comforting over the years.
The posters below are for St Paul's Church Parkend (Sunday 26th October at 5pm), All Saints Church Viney Hill (Sunday 2nd November at 5pm) & St Mary's Church, Lydney (Sunday 2nd November at 3pm).

On a slightly cloudy Monday evening recently, Michael went to Lydney Bowling Club (Lydney Bowls 1926), in Bathurst Park to meet with the players and present them with our annual sponsorship cheque.
Gordon Blake Funeral Directors have built up a close relationship with the Club over many years of being their major (and in the past, only) sponsor. We look forward to this relationship continuing as part of our commitment to involving ourselves in the community.

As part of our commitment to caring for bereaved families, Gordon Blake Funeral Directors have teamed up with independent funeral directors to offer further support and advice to people experiencing grief.
As a member of the trade association, SAIF Care allows us to provide our clients with exclusive access to a free bereavement care helpline and an online chat service, both of which are staffed by trained bereavement specialists.
The SAIF Care team is there to offer a listening ear and give reliable information about a range of help and services available near you.
