When the time comes that we need to engage the services of a Funeral Director, we believe that trust is of paramount importance.
This is why it is important to select a Funeral Director who is a member of a recognised trade association. Gordon Blake Funeral Directors are proud members of both the National Association of Funeral Directors and SAIF independent funeral directors and as such are regularly inspected. We are also regularly inspected by the IFSO (the Independent Funeral Standards Organisation), to ensure that our premises, facilities and team achieve the highest possible standards.

Gordon Blake Funeral Directors are proud to announce that in 2025 our families have raised an incredible £22,550 in memory of their loved ones for charity.
£12,200 of this has been given online though our online tribute pages created in conjunction with MuchLoved.
What a wonderful amount collected for charities (many of whom are local to the community we serve).
Gifting online is easy to do and means that Gift-Aid can also be added onto your donation- meaning the charity get even more from each donation.
Our personalised pages are free of charge and act as both a funeral notice and a lasting tribute to your loved one, where photos and thoughts can be added.
What a wonderful amount collected for charities (many of whom are local to the community we serve).

As part of our latest Light a Candle campaign, we’ve shared virtual memorial candles to help honour loved ones around the Christmas period. Thank you to everyone who created a memorial candle.

As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.
