On 8th May, our Birchy family came together to honour and remember the bravery, sacrifice and courage of those who gave their lives during the war on VE Day. ❤️🌺

In the morning, all staff and residents gathered peacefully around the Remembrance Fountain. Our Home Manager, Mark Yon, shared a heartfelt speech reminding us of the importance of remembering those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. We then observed a one-minute silence in memory of the fallen heroes. Flowers were lovingly placed near the fountain by members of our five different communities, symbolising unity, respect and gratitude from us all. 🌹

In the afternoon, the celebrations continued as residents gathered together to mark this special day with joy and togetherness. We were wonderfully entertained by the talented “Goodnight Sweetheart Duo”, whose beautiful music and singing filled the room with smiles, laughter and memories. 🎶💃

Residents enjoyed dancing, singing along, refreshments, drinks and tasty snacks while sharing such a lovely afternoon together. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone so happy, united, and celebrating the spirit of peace and remembrance.

🎉 On 9th May, we successfully hosted our wonderful BFG (Birchy Family Gathering) event at our lovely Peggy’s Café in the care home. 💖

It was such a special day where the relatives of our residents all came together to spend quality time, create beautiful memories, and enjoy each other’s company. Our Activity Staff member, Megha did an amazing job taking responsibility as the Event Organiser and made the gathering truly enjoyable for everyone. 👏✨

The afternoon was filled with lots of chit-chat, music, drinks, delicious cakes and lovely snacks. 🎶☕🍰 Everyone had a fantastic time and we received wonderful feedback from families who said they really enjoyed the event and would love to have another gathering together in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined and made this gathering party so special and memorable. ❤️

What a wonderful afternoon we shared with our lovely residents! ❤️

Nilam looked fantastic dressed as an Air Hostess while serving everyone from our cheerful Jolly Trolley filled with tasty drinks and refreshments 🍹🛒✨

The room was filled with the smooth sounds of special jazz music 🎶, bringing smiles, laughter, singing and happy memories to everyone. It was so lovely to see our residents relaxing, enjoying the music, chatting with friends and having a refreshing drink together 🥂💕

🌼 Celebrating National Garden Day – 14th April 🌼

On the beautiful morning of 14th April, we joyfully celebrated National Garden Day in our lovely garden. Our residents enthusiastically took part in planting flowers, bringing color, life and smiles to the space we all cherish. 🌷🌿
It was wonderful to see their excitement and love for gardening truly heartwarming moments!

In the afternoon, the creativity continued indoors as our residents crafted beautiful flowers using melted wax candles on natural branches. Alongside this they enjoyed making garden themed arts and crafts, expressing their creativity in unique and meaningful ways. 🎨🌸

With delightful refreshments and great company, it truly turned out to be a joyful and memorable day for everyone involved. 💛

We were proud to be one of the sponsors of the amazing “Time Travel Through 100 Miniature Models” event at Sway Village Hall on Saturday 11th April 2026 and what a great success it was!

Visitors had the chance to explore 100 incredible miniature “time travel” models, brilliantly created by Dr. Michael and the dedicated organisers. The displays from historic landmarks to imaginative creations were truly inspiring and enjoyed by all.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success your support and generosity made it all possible.
