📚✨ January’s session with Claire from The Curiosity Case took us back to school! ✨📚
With a wonderful collection of songs and trinkets from school days gone by, residents at Sway Place loved travelling back through time and reminiscing about their own classroom memories. There was lots of laughter, shared stories, and fond reflection as everyone remembered teachers, lessons, and playground fun. Joyce even tried on Claire’s old school hat, as she had one just like it when she was younger, a lovely moment that sparked even more memories and smiles! 🎩💭
A truly nostalgic and heartwarming session enjoyed by all 💙 Thankyou Claire for this session!✨

What a wonderful time we had at our January Musical Moments with Marcus! A big thank you to the Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW for joining us and helping to make the session so special. 💙
We’re already looking forward to our next event on February 17th with Mark Bussel and hope to see you there for another uplifting musical experience. 🎵✨

This Blue Monday has turned Green at Sway Place!
This winter has been all about slowing down and soaking up the simple joys ❄️🕊️
We’ve been spending our days inside bird watching, relaxing to peaceful bird sounds, and enjoying videos of birds from around the world🐥🐦🐧🦜
Add in plenty of reading time and hours of fun with our magic table, and it’s been the coziest winter ever🕊️🦢🪿

Today we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Lymington Councillor Colm McCarthy to join us for lunch with our 100 Club. 💯✨🍾🏆
The combined ages of everyone at lunch totalled an incredible 409 years, and with an extra special visit to our resident Irene, the grand total rose to an amazing 511 years!🍾🎉
It was a truly lovely celebration, with everyone sharing their lifetime achievements and goals for the future.
Thank you to the Mayor for taking the time to visit us, we hope to see you again very soon! 😊✨

Our residents have been cracking smiles thanks to our January visitor, Swaylock Holmes 🦆🔍 He’s been waddling around the home, investigating snacks, spreading laughter, and generally quacking us all up. Next time you visit, see if you can spot him on the case!

❄️🎶 With the January cold outside, everyone at Sway Place cozied up under blankets to enjoy a live opera performance by the wonderful Jennifer today. Beautiful music, warm company, and the perfect way to brighten a freezing day 💙
