Last year we chose to support Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance with their Operation Airbase campaign, building a new base close to Southampton Airbase.

Thank you for all the wonderful donations made by so many of our clients which we have matched and together in our own small way, we've helped make a difference. I'm delighted to say their target is very nearly reached.

Every week, Mrs H enjoys a gentle drive and a cuppa - but this week's outing was extra special 💚
After a stroke, short-term memory can sometimes be affected, but long-term memories often remain beautifully vivid.
Our companion Mike, who's from Ireland, enjoyed a wonderful trip down memory lane with Mrs H as they chatted about her visits to the Emerald Isle.
Moments like these are so special - connection, conversation and a chance to relive treasured memories...

Ending the week feeling very grateful after receiving a "thank you for the outstanding service" from the Activities Team at Barton Lodge Care Home.

Yesterday they enjoyed an outing to Otter Nurseries in Lymington for a browse, wander and coffee with our Companion Driver, Carol.

We send a Thank You back to them for being so lovely!

This week, we supported a lovely client, Mrs C, to an appointment she was feeling very nervous about. During the journey, our Companion gently chatted with her about her late husband and the life they had shared together. Then something unexpected happened...
They realised Mr C and our Companion had worked at the same company at the same time many years ago. Our companion remembered him well and was able to share some stories from the past. Mrs C was so touched by this connection and it helped her feel calm and reassured throughout her appointment.

It really does show how small the world can be - sometimes just a few connections can mean everything 💛

So very grateful to Isabelle for her kind words. Her Dad was one of our very first clients and it's such a pleasure to still be taking them out so they can enjoy family time together, and to know that it means so much to them all.

After a wander at Milford and an ice cream and coffee, Mally was all smiles and very chatty on the way back. A simple outing, a big impact. ☕️🍦🚙💙

Another lovey trip out with the amazing Sam from Driving Miss Daisy New Forest SW. The sun was shining down on us for our trip to Milford on Sea, for a lovely walk along the promenade, followed by an ice cream and a latté. Sam and all her colleagues that we have had the privilege to take us out, are so kind, patient and amazing with my Father who has advanced stages of Parkinson’s and is wheel chair bound. Driving Miss Daisy is not just a car service they are so much more. They are caring, welcoming & above all patient. Sam is so amazing with my Dad. He has a real soft spot for her as do we. Driving Miss Daisy has given back some freedom and pleasure to my Dad & I personally will forever be thankful that we discovered this wonderful service. We love Driving Miss Daisy - thank you so much.
