Everyone at Oakhaven is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.

The Duchess opened Oakhaven Hospice on 7th May 1992. After unveiling a plaque, HRH said: "I do know the extraordinary feeling that they give to people who come in here. The feeling of safety and the feeling of being deeply cared for and loved. It's not a hospital, it's a home."

We send our condolences to His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, their children, grandchildren, and members of the Royal Family.

It's Write A Will Month!

Your life is full of milestones; house purchases, marriage, children or divorce...to ensure that your wishes remain current, you should keep it updated - why not use our Write A Will Month to make those changes.

We have teamed up with local solicitors who will waive their usual Will-writing fee when you make a donation to Oakhaven Hospice.

Every donation directly supports the funding of your local hospice, enabling our specialist teams to provide vital palliative and end-of-life care free of charge to patients, and support for their loved ones.

Tawnee Woodford decided she wanted to challenge herself and raise money for Oakhaven. A keen daily swimmer at Elmers Court, Tawnee has taken on the epic challenge of swimming 234 laps every day for the whole month of September to raise funds in memory of her dear Nan and Uncle Jamie.

Once Tawnee has completed this challenge it will be the equivelant of swimming around the Isle of Wight! Good luck Tawnee on day 1 of your swim.
