February is payroll giving month!

As an employee, you can benefit from tax-efficient savings when you donate via your salary. Payroll Giving donations are taken from pay after National Insurance but before tax. A donation of £5 a month would actually cost an employee £4 from their take-home pay (if they pay 20% tax) or £3 (if they pay 40% tax).

Connect with others who are experiencing grief or loss.

Our next Bereavement Support Group will be on Wednesday 4th February from 10.30am to 12noon, at the Coates Centre - for anyone living in our New Forest, Totton and Waterside communities who is experiencing a loss or bereavement.

Supported by volunteers, you are welcome to drop in for a relaxed chat over a cup of tea or coffee. It is also a chance to meet others living locally and going through a similar loss. We appreciate it may not be an easy decision to attend; you are welcome to bring a friend or family member.

Could you volunteer some time to help in your local community? We are building a team of 'Awareness Volunteers' to help us raise awareness of Oakhaven throughout our New Forest, Totton and Waterside catchment area. We hope that people who might not yet know much about Oakhaven will learn more about the services we provide as a hospice and as Oakhaven Wellbeing for everyone in our communities.

We're currently looking for someone in Beaulieu and the surrounding areas, who could take posters and leaflets to community venues. Could you give the gift of time to help us?

Participants will learn what Reiki is, explore its potential benefits, and experience simple relaxation and grounding techniques inspired by Reiki principles. This is not a qualification course, but an accessible, awareness-based session designed to help individuals find moments of peace, connection, and resilience during challenging times.
