It can seem hard to think about death. But making plans for after your death can help your family and friends - and it can help you too.

Talking about death and dying can also help you to live well now. Sometimes we can’t think about what we want from our life and can’t imagine things getting any better. Our NEW Living Well Journal is designed to help you slowly build on your coping strategies and begin to have ideas on how to overcome your challenges.

This Dying Matters Awareness Week, it's time to end the silence around death.

For many, death can be a scary topic, and you might think, why talk about something so sad? Talking about dying or death won’t bring it any closer. However, it will help you to plan for life and help you and those around you to make the most of the time that you do have.

Join us on Thursday, 7th May to chat about death and dying - and how to start the conversation with your loved ones. You are welcome to drop in to the Coates Centre in the grounds of Oakhaven at any time between 10am and 4pm for an informal chat with one of our team.

Visit https://www.oakhavenhospice.co.uk/dyingmatters/ for a conversation starter to download.
