Every Monday, residents, carers, family members, and the wider community are invited to join us for a relaxed, welcoming space to paint, draw, and craft together. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get creative, enjoy great company, and spend a morning immersed in creativity.

💙 Denim for Dementia at Linden House 💙

Earlier this year, our Companionship Team asked the local community for unwanted denim — and the response was amazing! Residents, staff, and pupils from Lymington Infant School helped transform it into teddies, lavender bags, bookmarks, and more, all to raise funds for Lymington Community Association.

Yesterday, we proudly took the creations to Tidal Boutique, in the The Lymington Centre - The Community Centre, and they are now available to purchase. Every donation supports vital work helping people in the community live well with dementia.

Linden House recently hosted our first-ever Shine a Light on Dementia event, welcoming friends, families, and the local community to explore, learn, and connect 🌟

Over three days, visitors enjoyed reflective garden displays, homemade decorations created by our residents, team, local schools, and community groups, delicious refreshments, and professional insights into living well with dementia, including the opportunity to speak to Colten Care's Admiral Nurse. The event also offered a thoughtful gift to take home, making the experience even more special.

It was a meaningful way to raise awareness and celebrate the importance of understanding dementia 🩵

It’s been fantastic cheering on Team GB at the Winter Olympics these past couple of weeks! ❄️⛷️

Here at Linden House, we’ve been joining in with our very own mini torch ceremony and Winter Games, bringing a little Olympic spirit and plenty of laughter to our residents 🏅 Thanks to Lymington Infant School for being part of the fun!

Linden House was filled with music and laughter as pupils from Lymington Infant School joined residents this week for a Valentine’s afternoon celebration.

With live music from Bee Chumley Vocalist setting the tone, there was plenty of dancing, singing, and smiles across the generations ❤️

Residents really loved joining our recent Cardio Drumming session and bringing the beat to Linden 🥁🎶 with drums, shakers, tambourines, and twirling ribbons.

Everyone joined in at their own pace, filling the lounge with music, movement, and lots of laughter!

We were delighted to welcome pupils from Lymington Infant School to Linden House for a joyful morning of singing and arts and crafts recently 🎼🎨

It was lovely to see residents and children spending time together, sharing creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles. We’re proud of our close relationship with the school and look forward to continuing this valued partnership in the months ahead.

A special visit from Mr Kelloggs at Linden House 🐴

The Shetland pony spent time with residents in lounges and rooms, offering calm, one-to-one interaction. Barbara especially enjoyed meeting him up close.

A lovely visit, made even more fitting with the Year of the Horse approaching.

Join us on Wednesday 25 February, 5pm–7pm, for Shine a Light on Dementia - an open evening at Linden House, welcoming anyone who would like to learn more about living well with dementia ✨

Follow a gentle, light-filled trail through our gardens, with reflective displays offering insight into dementia and the experiences of those affected. Along the way, there will be time to pause, enjoy hot drinks and homemade refreshments, and speak informally with friendly professionals.

This is a relaxed, welcoming event - whether you’re coming to learn, connect with others, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Each guest will also receive a small, thoughtful gift to take home.

The event also supports Oakhaven Hospice, helping us give back to the local community we’re proud to be part of.
