A herbal tonic delight.
Herbal tonics are like compost is to the earth. This recipe is a wonderful and delicious way to support our body's general well-being . It’s also so simple to make in your own kitchen.
Add the following herbs into a jar that has a tight lid.
Hawthorn berries
Rose Hips
Cinnamon powder or dried bark.
Add a 50/50 mix of apple cider vinegar and runny honey.
Cover the dried herbs with the mix .
Checking all the herbs are covered in the liquid.
Screw lid on tightly .
Place the jar some where you will notice it daily . Leave in this position for 2 weeks.
Each day gently shake the jar and it’s herbal contents .
After 2 weeks strain the the mixture and you will be left with such nectar . Place the herbal liquid in a clean jar and store in the fridge.
Each day you can delight in a spoonful of this powerful liquid tonic syrup. You can add to porridge, yogurt or stewed fruit or simply enjoy straight from the spoon.
