Ana has been part of the Hartwood family for over 10 years and is a much-loved member of our team. She brings incredible energy wherever she goes, lighting up the building with her singing, dancing, and infectious enthusiasm. You always know when Ana is working – her positivity and vibrant personality brighten everyone’s day.

Thank you, Ana, for all the joy, dedication, and warmth you bring to Hartwood House. We are so lucky to have you as part of our family! 🌟💐

When someone moves into Hartwood House, we want to know so much more than their care needs.

🥂What are their proudest achievements?
🎵What music makes them smile?
🎄What family traditions mean the most to them?

Our All About Me book helps us build a picture of the person behind the resident.

Filled in together with residents and their loved ones, it helps our team learn about life experiences, favourite memories, important relationships and the little details that make each person unique.

The more we know, the more personalised we can make daily life, conversations, activities and care.

🥐☕️A fantastic morning at our second Business Breakfast here at Hartwood House Care Home with one simple aim — bringing the Forest together.

Over delicious pastries and fresh fruit we spent the morning building relationships, and strengthening the sense of community that makes the New Forest such a special place to live and work. 🌲

On a beautiful warm morning like today, it was the perfect setting for meaningful conversations and new connections. In fact, the conversations were flowing so well that we completely forgot to take a proper group photo!

Events like these are so important. They create opportunities for local organisations to come together!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — we’re already looking forward to the next one!

💙 Meet this weeks heart of Hartwood House… our amazing Maintenance Manager, Martin! 💙

We honestly don’t know what we would do without him. Martin is one of those people where nothing is ever too much trouble — no matter what the problem is, you know he’ll be there to fix it with a smile.

He brings so much laughter to our home, and our residents absolutely adore him. But his role goes far beyond maintenance — he’s there for every single one of us, staff and residents alike.

Today, we all attended an event at one of our sister homes, and when we returned, Mary realised she had left her bag behind. Before anyone could even think about what to do, Martin was already back in the car driving to collect it for her. 🚗💨

That’s just who Martin is — caring, dependable, selfless, and always willing to go the extra mile.

Thank you, Martin, for everything you do for Hartwood House. We are so lucky to have you! ⭐

🌱 Residents Mary and Maureen have been busy tending to the vegetable patches in the Hartwood House garden this afternoon!

Gardening is a real passion for Mary, who proudly makes sure all the produce is growing beautifully — especially her prized green beans, which we’ll even be serving with our Christmas Day roast dinner! 🎄🫛

Gardening brings so many benefits to our residents’ wellbeing, from gentle exercise and time outdoors to a real sense of purpose 🫶🏼
