I am a fully qualified Massage Therapist specialising in Pregnancy, Postnatal and Advanced Deep Tissue massage based in Upton. I am fully insured and am registered with the Federation of Holistic therapists. Having gone through the miracle of childbirth, twice, I know what an amazing and emotional roller coaster it can be! I also know how much extra strain our bodies are put under during this time
. Massage is extremely beneficial, not only to the mother but to the unborn baby as well. There are numerous emotional and physiological benefits associated with pregnancy massage and I want to be able to share it with all of you!

Good evening lovely people!
I feel I have left you all in the lurch recently so wanted to come on and give a little life update!
Back in December I was diagnosed with a 'Bizarre Parosteal Osteochondromatous Prolieration, Yup - I didn't know what that was either! The GP had never heard of it nor had his colleague! Luckily the Radiographer who looked at my x-ray had! In short its a very rare benign bone tumour that needed removing, so, fast forward to today, I have now had it removed and am waiting on the results of the biopsy.
Anyway - enough of that! As you know Light Touch has been on very reduced hours in recent months - this is due to a change of career direction - I work as a Rehab Assistant in the NHS working alongside Physios and OT's, I also work on the Marine camp x2 a week, alongside network marketing, digital marketing and more recently - digital products ( yes there's definitely something neurospicy going on!)
In addition I have two very sporty, very competitive kids and most of my weekends are spent being sports mum taxi!
The juggle is REAL! and I know you guys get it - we are all running around like headless chickens trying to keep our s**t together!
Anyway - I just wanted to let you know, I'm still here, Still massaging and still TIRED! 😴 haha!

Being pregnant with my first daughter is what inspired me to pursue a career in pregnancy massage. Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
The massage is used to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle "knots" or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.
