You may have seen the news this morning about Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) now being available on prescription from your GP. While this is welcome news, in order to be eligible, the following criteria apply:
BMI of at least 40 and 4 out of 5 other health conditions:
Type 2 diabetes
High blood pressure
Heart disease
Obstructive sleep apnoea
Abnormal blood fats

Marisco Medical Practice has already identified those patients who meet the criteria and if you are eligible, we will get in touch with you. Please do NOT contact the surgery for an appointment to discuss this, if you are eligible we will be in touch with you in due course.

RSV VACCINE

A reminder for the 75-80 year olds - you are eligible for a free vaccination for the RSV. Please call the surgery to book now!
Patients that turn 80 between 2/9/24 - 31/8/25 only have up until the 31st august, to book and receive this.

NHS vaccination team have also stated "The RSV vaccination programme is already making a significant reduction to the number of hospital admissions in older people in England. With hospitalisation rates fewer by 30%, in 75 – 79-year-olds."

Unfortunately Broadway surgery carpark is closed due to the roadworks taking place on Broadway, this means you will have to find alternative parking due to limited space on the roadside. However please be assured the surgery is still open and be mindful to leave plenty of time for your appointments.

There are currently road works on the Broadway near the Doctors surgery. The surgery is still accessible , however If you have an appointment please allow plenty of time as there are diversions in place.
