Meet “Ned” the fire engine….. which was used to convey the family behind the hearse following their loved one. It was our profound privilege to es**rt a dearly loved wife, mum and friend to many on her final journey.
The day was filled with warmth and love she shared with her family, a testament to her enduring spirit and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. The stunning floral tribute was finalised by The Floral Mill.
John and family would like to thank everyone for their attendance and for the cards of condolence and donations received in Maria’s memory. Thanks are also extended to The Pack Horse Bowling Club for their hospitality.

A beautiful memorial we recently completed for a beloved family within 4 weeks. I had the privilege of overseeing the funeral back in 2009, and it was truly meaningful to reconnect with the family after all these years. I'm deeply honored they entrusted me once again - this time, to create his lasting memorial. ❤️

We organised a dove release with the colour blue as a tribute to honor and celebrate the life of a dearly loved wife, mum and friend.
Each dove soared as a symbol of peace, love, and the everlasting spirit she leaves behind.
Though she may be gone from their sight, her light continues to shine in their hearts.

Here at Legacy Funeral Care, we have seen an increase in marketing activity from some national direct cremation providers. Many people aren’t even aware that their local Independant funeral directors offer the same direct cremation service, let us assure you, this option has always been available with us - what makes us different you may ask?

👉Our non attended (direct) cremations takes place in Macclesfield within days of the paperwork being completed and cremated remains returned to you personally within a week
👉You can spend time with your loved one in our chapel of rest

How much does this cost?
A local dignified direct cremation arranged by us costs £1,500 including the cremation fee, with this option there is no service and no officiant.

Barrie Frederick Gill: Retired Parish Councillor of Newborough and Retired Company Director of Tarmac

Barrie aged 75 years of Congleton, peacefully passed away in hospital on Tuesday 12th August 2025.

Beloved husband of Lynn, dearly loved step father of Tanya, Mark and Gary,
cherished grandad of Toby and Poppy and loving brother of Wendy.
Barrie will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

In the absence of government regulation, the funeral profession's trade associations have played an important role in maintaining standards and quality among funeral directors.
This is something we value immensely at Legacy Funeral Care and it's why we are a member of the SAIF 'THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF ALLIED AND INDEPENDENT FUNERAL DIRECTORS' SAIF was established in 1989 to support independent, mostly family owned funeral directors.
This membership is a worthwhile annual investment, as it keeps us up-to-date with best practices, benefiting the people who turn to us in their time of need.
We've been a member of SAlF since we opened in 2020.
I, myself am also a Member of The British Institute of Embalmers and I have pledged to respect and care for every loved one we bring into our care daily until the day of the funeral.

It was our profound privilege to es**rt June on her final journey with the help of Bart and Scarlett with the horse drawn carriage led by Fred and Amber. The chapel was filled, and the love was felt all around for a dearly loved mum, nan, grandma, sister and friend to many. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her ❤️
June’s family would like to thank everyone for all the kind messages of sympathy, cards of condolence and donations received for Space4Autism. Thanks are also extended to Cathy for her unique service and to Broken Cross Club for their hospitality and catering arrangements.

Gwyneth Carter - Gwyneth aged 72 years of Macclesfield, formerly of Bollington, tragically passed away on Friday 18th July 2025. Dearly loved wife of the late Norman, much loved mum of Julie, loving sister of Janis and the late Jackie, sister in law of Alan and a treasured nanna, great nanna and auntie who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
