We were honoured to es**rt David on his final journey in the bespoke Manchester United Hearse as a fitting tribute for his support of his favourite football team.
David to many who loved him, and known as Elly to many more, he was very particular about that “Y”, there was simply no other way to spell it, as far as he was concerned.
David was a beloved husband, much loved dad, devoted grandad, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend and he gave something unique and irreplaceable to every one of those roles. The laughter, the banter, the warmth, the straight-talking wisdom, and yes, the occasional need to explain to him, very gently, that you had absolutely no intention of watching another ninety minutes of football.
David (Elly) go with the mighty Reds in the sky, your time here is now done, rest now - forever one of United’s own.

George Nairn McLellan - George aged 85 years of Macclesfield, unexpectedly passed away in hospital on Wednesday 18th February 2026. Dearly loved husband of Wendy, much loved dad of Karen, loving grandad of Angelina and Jason and treasured great grandad of Oliver and Lottie. George will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

We were honoured to es**rt a dearly loved dad, brother, grandad and great grandad on his final journey. His service reflected upon a life well lived, comfortable with a trowel in his hand at the allotment as he was cheering on the lads at Old Trafford. He built his world with skill, humour and an unwavering love for his family. A mate to so many, he could be relied upon for straight-talking advice and a decent pint of Boddies. Chris, your legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew you, your journey here has ended, now time for you to rest.

Douglas Coppock - Doug aged 82 years of Macclesfield, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday 15th February 2026.
Beloved and loving husband of Glenis, proud and loving father of Jonathan and Simon and dear father-in-law to Angie and Debbie, his grandchildren Jack, Tom, Sophie and Will meant the world to him, he will be sadly missed.

We are privileged to have es**rted David on his final journey. A man who never did anything quietly, never did anything by the book and never missed an opportunity for a good wind up. He bought laughter into the lives of so many - just by being himself!
Adding a touch of blue and white roses in the colours of his team, Macclesfield Town Football Club organised by The Floral Mill. Reunited with his loving wife Louise, we can hope that they are now reunited and this time for eternity.

We are privileged to have es**rted Mick on his final journey. His presence brightened every room he entered, his loyalty never wavered and whose dry wit could lift spirits on the greyest of days. Please remember him for the glint in his eye, the banter that never stopped and a heart of gold that meant you could always depend on him. Rest now Mick, your work here is done.

David Ellis - Elly aged 73 years of Macclesfield, passed away at home peacefully as he wished with his beloved Wife Rose by his side on Tuesday 3rd February 2026.
Dearly loved Dad of Steve and Shaz, cherished "Silly Grandad" of Jorge and Jack, loving Father In Law of Kirsty and Andy, Beloved Son of the late Ted and Ethel Ellis and treasured Brother of Janet, Geoff, Suzanne, Gillian and the late Patricia.
Elly will be sadly missed by all his family and many, many friends.
