It was our profound privilege to es**rt a dearly loved husband, dad, father-in-law, grandad, great grandad and friend to many on his final journey. The day was a testament to his enduring spirit and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. The service led by lay reader Denise Morley-Carter told of a remarkable story and bonds forged in life’s moments.
Pam and family would like to thank all who attended and for all the kind expressions of sympathy, cards of condolence and donations received in memory for The East Cheshire Hospice Bed Appeal. Thanks are also extended to The Floral Mill for the beautiful vibrant floral tribute and to Denise for her kind and comforting ministrations.

Matthew McDermott - Matt aged 75 years of Macclesfield, peacefully passed away at home after a short illness on Wednesday 24th September 2025. Norman Williams - Norman aged 81 years of Bollington, suddenly passed away on Friday 19th September 2025. Dearly loved husband of Pauline and wonderful dad of Joanne, he will be greatly missed by all his family, many friends and the Bollington community, where he was the much-loved local barber for 40 years.

The sun shone today for Norman and Gwyneth’s interment, resting together forever.
The beautiful floral tribute was crafted with love from Sarah at The Floral Mill.

We were honoured to be there, offering a small service.

Many funeral directors charge families for attending/overseeing interment of ashes into graves/kerbstones - or do not attend - We Do Not make any charge for this and will always be in attendance.
We believe this final moment with the family is sacred, a chance not only to say goodbye, but to listen, to comfort and to support. We will take care of all necessary paperwork for you, and stand with you on the day, so you can focus on memory, love and each other.

It was our privilege to es**rt a dearly loved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend on her final journey, now reunited with Norman and Jackie.
As we arrived at the chapel, the sun shone brightly reflecting the love that surrounded her. The atmosphere was filled with poignant memories as Kit Hurstfield, led a touching service dedicated to a life well-lived but taken from her family too soon. Her coffin adorned with her favorite blooms of orange roses, crafted with care by The Floral Mill. As we bid her farewell, we take solace in knowing that she continues her journey, surrounded by love.

As a lasting tribute, we placed a single orange rose onto her doorstep.

Janis and families would like to express their sincere and grateful thanks to all who attended the funeral and for all the kind expressions of sympathy, cards of condolence and donations received.

Dearly loved husband of Pam, much loved dad of Simon, Colin and the late Andrew, loving father in law of Joanne, Jenny and Julia, beloved grandad of Daniel, Jessica, Tom, Michael, Sophia, Chloe, Lizzie and Jennie and cherished great grandad of Cara-Mia. Eddy will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
