Do you ever feel it - that longing to just... stop? ✋
Not because you’re 😊 but because something deep within, or an ache in your body, knows that this pace we inherited just isn’t really ours.
The world we live in is so noisy.
We’re kept busy - too busy - through impossible to-do lists, technology that never stops changing, social media filling our eyes and minds with information not necessarily tethered to truth.
All one big never-ending distraction from what matters most.
And yet somehow, in all that busyness, so many of us are lonely.
Last winter, one of the threads that ran through my Elements of Wellbeing programme was that most participants felt lonely - despite having full lives with too much to fit in. It stayed with me, and I feel it too.
This year I’ve felt a strong pull to slow down (even more!)
As spring arrived I didn’t feel the usual readiness to speed up - I felt the opposite. A need to go gently. To loosen the grip on old ways of being and trust what’s underneath.
At first this was unnerving, worrying even - with thoughts of how I should feel at this time in the seasons creeping in. Normal would be the bubbling of active energy, feeling ready to be outward as the land wakes and the sun shines brighter.
Perhaps the greatest act of rebellion we can make right now is to slow down.
To turn off the noise long enough to hear our own heartbeat, our own truth - and from there, hear the heartbeat of the earth beneath our feet. The heart of us all.
I long for a small world where we are truly together. Connected, generously present in each other’s lives.
As summer begins tomorrow, nature flows more into peak, how curious it is to feel this way.
🌿 If this is speaking to your heart, I’d love to walk slowly alongside you. I have just 2 spaces remaining for a 1:1 Sacred Journey - a personalised path of deepened connection and becoming, working with the land, the seasons and your own inner wisdom. Online or in person, at a pace that truly honours where you are.
Book a call and let’s explore it together.
And a beautiful calendar of select, spacious group events over the warmer months ahead (links in bio).
With love,
Amanda
