Activities Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team at Capital Care Group in Macclesfield. This role is vital in enriching the lives of our residents by organizing engaging activities that promote independence and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents.
Responsibilities:-
Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
Work with other Activity Team members to ensure excellent communication takes place.
Support residents in participating in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
Collaborate with care staff to assess residents' needs and preferences.
Encourage social interaction among residents to foster a sense of community.
Maintain activity records and provide feedback on resident participation.
Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with care plans.
Promote a positive, inclusive environment that respects each individual's dignity.
Assist with the decoration and organization of activity spaces to create a lively atmosphere.
Qualifications:-
At least 1 years’ experience of working as an activity assistant
Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care environments.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents and team members.
Experience of working with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in enhancing residents' quality of life.
Ability to organize and lead diverse activities.
Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual needs.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to activity planning.
Enthusiasm for creating a vibrant, supportive community environment.
