Happy International Pilates Day to all my friends and clients 👋
Some favourite memories for me:
Photo 1: Comprehensive exam day with the one and only A truly difficult day for me (having lost my brother just 4 days before), but a milestone in my Pilates journey. Proof to me, that with the right mindset, and the right people around you- you can achieve anything, and Pilates is a wonderful tool which enables this positivity.
Photo 2 & 3: Further teacher trainings
In Halifax, again a valuable experience- moving, talking and learning with the best teachers and students around. A good Pilates teacher never stops learning and is always looking to improve their knowledge in order to understand their clients better.
Photo 4: some of my first classes teaching in my new home town of Macclesfield, with a lovely bunch of clients- some of whom I still teach today :-)
Photo 5: helping my own Mum whilst she waits for her hip replacement surgery. Pilates is such a useful tool not just for those who want to build their fitness, but also for those who are injured or recovering from injury. Ita a truly adaptable method, and with the right teacher can be so beneficial to a wide ranging mix of people.
Photo 6: self practise days Pilates. Even after the birth of my little Beatrix, Pilates was always present in my life, and helped me to regain my posture, strength and flexibility quickly, and to get back to all the adventures that I love so much!
All in all....if you haven't already- don't be afraid to get started with Pilates, because 'change happens through movement, and movement heals'
