As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

On Friday 17th October 2025, peacefully in hospital, David aged 85 years.

Beloved and loving husband of Carolyn, loving Father of Robert, James, Claire and William, dear Father-in-Law to Angela, Malene, Michael and Louise, devoted Grandfather of Ikaro, Tomas, Frankie, Charlie, Hugo, Rowan, Natasha, Jacob, Frederik, Eleanor, Dominic, Harrison and Jessica, Great-Grandfather of Ava and Oliver and a dear Brother of John and the late Muriel.

David was the founder and proprietor of Janhill Limited and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

The Funeral Service will take place at 1.15 p.m. on Wednesday 12th November at The Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels followed by a private Service of Committal which will take place at 2.45 p.m. at Macclesfield Crematorium.

Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Great to see that the East Cheshire Hospice’s event “A Dead Good Day” went so well today. The theme was “Ducks in a Row” and there was information available on managing your affairs so that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are able to help look after everything that is important to you. They made a great job of making a sensitive subject positive and accessible.

On Thursday, 2nd October 2025 suddenly in Macclesfield Hospital following a long battle with cancer, Keith aged 79 years.

The dearly loved Husband of Rita and a much loved Father and Grandfather.

Keith will be missed greatly and most fondly remembered by all his loving Family and Friends.

The Funeral Service and Committal will take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Tuesday, 21st October 2025 at 3.30 p.m.

The family request that black need not be worn.
