A very belated day in the life working at my first Deadly Dozen track day in Leicester. And what a day it was 🥹🥹 absolutely awesome effort from everyone competing and a real show of what this community is about when everyone came together to join and support the final athlete of the day. That’s what the Deadly Dozen is about 💀🌤️

⚡️ a week of injuries that i treated ⚡️ boyyyy oh boy - marathoneers came in thick and fast this season. Leg looseners, achilles tendinosis and hip flexor strains I got them all 👋🏼

i’m now a LEVEL 4 SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST !! 🥳🥳 woop - I can treat a lot more pathological tissue, juicy injuries and conditions now 💪🏼🙌🏼🚀

rest days are super important to make sure you can train efficiently on those high intensity days ⚡️⚡️ and consequently, performance will start to improve 😎

Letting you all in on my big secret 🙈🙈🙈

Shoulder pain might just be covering up issues elsewhere. I know mine is. I’m constantly suffering with sore rotator cuffs and I really thought it was from playing netball and training inconsistently. ALAS…

Twas mistaken. My pecs have been putting a shift in. Poor posture most likely the culprit. Causing my shoulders to pull forwards and putting the rotator cuff in a rubbish position to do it’s job 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

My rehab plan:

🙂‍↕️ soft tissue work & mobility for pecs
🙂‍↕️ upper back & rotator cuff strengthening
🙂‍↕️ being more mindful with my posture, during exercise and at rest

You can’t always put an injury down to the area that hurts. It’s often not that simple.
