Another amazing project that ended this week.

For the last 4 months, I have had the pleasure of being part of an amazing learning journey at Ysgol Gymunedol Tal-y-bont .

As a creative agent for program I was involved early on in the planning, recruiting and setting up the project.

Due to the excellent co-working of these amazing creative practitioners (Thea and ) and class teacher (Miss Morris) I have had a pretty easy role in overseeing the journey and it’s just the evaluation to be done none!

The learning journey has been exciting from the outset! When you have a novel writer who specialises in detective stories and a marine biologist who can turn her hand to anything all you need is a invested teacher who is up for bringing all types of creativity into the learning space! And we certainly got that! To have a teacher that is so invested in the process is such a bonus! Wish every school had one of these!

This brings to an end the 2 year programme with the school.
💖It has been a lovely school to work with and I have no doubt that the ethos of the learning journeys will be used, developed and embedded in the learning by the teachers, the staff and the school.

Diolch am brosiect anhygoel arall sydd hefyd wedi dod i ben yr wythnos hon.

Am y 4 mis diwethaf, rwyf wedi cael y pleser o fod yn rhan o daith ddysgu anhygoel yn Ysgol Gymunedol Tal-y-bont .

Fel asiant greadigol i roeddwn yn rhan o’r broses gynnar o gynllunio, recriwtio a sefydlu’r prosiect.

💫Y peth hudolus yw cael 2 ymarferydd creadigol (Thea de Klein a ) rhagorol ac athro dosbarth (Miss Morris) mwy na brwdfrydig sydd wedi byw ac anadlu y taith ddysgu ‘Pysgod Talybont’.

Mae ymroddiad, brwdfrydedd a pharodrwydd yr ymarferwyr creadigol a’r athro i feddwl tu allan i’r bocs wedi caniatáu i’r plant ddatblygu sgiliau newydd, herio eu hunain a dod o hyd i lawenydd mewn dysgu. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟

Mae hyn yn dod â fy 2 flynedd o weithio yn yr ysgol i ben o dan ysgolion arweinol greadigol y Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.

💖Mae wedi bod yn bleser ac nid oes gennyf unrhyw amheuaeth y bydd y sgiliau a’r manteision a welir drwy’r prosiectau hyn yn cael eu defnyddio a’u datblygu gan yr athrawon, y staff a’r ysgol gyfan.

🌈A dyna ni!🌈

Am y 6 wythnos diwethaf, mae Elin a minnau wedi bod yn gweithio gyda grŵp hyfryd o rieni a babanod yn y prosiect stARTing well, menter iechyd meddwl a chreadigrwydd perinatal.

Rydym wedi argraffu, peintio 🎨,, braslunio, ffeltio, gwneud cerrig mandala, dalwyr breuddwydion a ‘mobiles’! Ac wrth gwrs, chwarae, archwilio, symud a chanu!🎼

Yn teimlo mor ddiolchgar am y cyfle hwn a chael gweithio unwaith eto gyda rhieni newydd 💖

🌈A dyna ni!🌈And that’s a wrap!🌈

For the last 6weeks Elin and I have been working with a lovely group of parents and babies in the stARTing well project, Hywel Dda Health Board a perinatal mental health and creativity initiative.

We have printed, painted 🎨,marbled, sketched , felted, made mandala stones, dream catchers and mobiles! And of course Played, explored, moved and sung our hearts out!🎼

Feeling so grateful for this opportunity and being able to once again work with new parents 💖 and have the amazing support from a Specialist Perinatal Occupational Therapist and peer mentor of the service join us.

Mae'r cyfleoedd creadigol amrywiol y mae'r asiantau creadigol wedi'u cyflwyno yn ystod y sessiynau wedi gwneud hyn yn brofiad dysgu gwirioneddol gyfoethog.

Mae plant wedi arbrofi gyda sgiliau newydd, wedi'u hadeiladu ar eu hyder ac yn y pen draw wedi gweithio fel tîm🥇

My registration as a Play & Creative Arts Therapist is with Play Therapy Uk (PTUK) rather than British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), but both hold registers for appropriately qualified and registered Play Therapists (some may appear on BACP resister also).

Play therapy is a very specialised therapy approach, delivered by highly trained professionals.

If trying to find a Play Therapist please look at the dedicated registers. If a therapist is not on the register, they are not a registered /qualified Play Therapist.

Play Therapy is a specialised form of therapeutic intervention designed to support children facing emotional, behavioural or psychological difficulties. Led by qualified and registered Play Therapists, this approach uses the therapeutic powers of play within a structured and evidence-based process.

Through play—the child’s natural language—play therapists create a safe and accepting environment where children can express themselves, process complex feelings and develop healthier ways of coping. Grounded in professional training and clinical expertise, Play Therapy facilitates healing, resilience and emotional growth in a developmentally appropriate and child-centred way.

Wythnos gyffrous arall yn ar taith ddysgu greadigol gyda’r Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru | Arts Council of Wales.

Cael gweld sut mae'r stori'n cael ei hadrodd wythnos ar ôl wythnos, y cyffro a'r llawenydd o weld y plant yn cael ymreolaeth dros sut a beth sy'n digwydd gyda'u nod terfynol o ddarganfod sut wnaeth y pysgod farw!

Er fy mod i'n hoffi bod ar yr ochr greadigol, gan weithio ochr yn ochr â'r plant, yr athrawon a'r staff, rwy'n ddiolchgar am y cyfle i gael fy ngofyn i fod yn asiant creadigol. Mae heyn wedi rhoi profiadau i cynllunio, recriwtio a dechre y syniadau cychwynnol y prosiect hwn hefo’r ysgol ar ymarferydd creadigol.

Ddoe,Wnes i rywbeth dwi wedi bod eisiau ei wneud ers amaer!

Yesterday, I did something that lights up my soul - creativity and nature based 🫶🏻 I’ve been doing lots of printing with leaves/ using natural material in my creative sessions and creative mindfulness work but this was just for me!

I got to make my very own lampshade! And what’s even better, you get to choose what colours/ patterns to create so that it fits in perfectly with your home decor using shapes and patterns from nature 🫶🏻

I can’t recommend this wonderful workshop enough, run by a good friend who is an amazing artist.

Based Just outside Machynlleth, up the road from my therapy room in a lovely inspiring workshop in the middle of nature🍁

I love that my work with the Arts Council for Wales gives me these opportunities. I enjoy meeting and working with a range of artists and creative practitioners 🫶🏻 and gives me a whole range of variety in my work.
