Are you compliant with soil sampling guidelines?
We are busy organising and completing our annual sampling for our clients. We complete in early spring so we have soil analysis pre harvest and before applications of fertilisers and manures.
This way we can develop plans for liming and PK, so we are ready for the small window between combining and planting in the autumn!
With the increase in farm inspections, it is important to remain compliant with soil and manure testing regulations.
DEFRA’s Farming Rules for Water requires cultivated land to be tested at least once every 5 years.
DEFRA’s definition of cultivated land, is land that has been ploughed, sowed or harvested at least once in the last year, and or land that has received fertiliser at least once within the previous 3 years.
We can also complete OM soil sampling that is required for the soils actions under the SFI scheme.
