Heat rash is common during hot weather.

It is uncomfortable - but usually harmless - and it usually gets better on its own after a few days.

It’s hot! 🔥 Don't forget your sunscreen!

Even if it’s cloudy, UV rays can still cause sunburn.

This advice can help you to stay safe and avoid getting sunburn, reducing your risk of developing skin cancer.

It’s Dementia Action Week! 💙

We're proud to support Alzheimer’s Society’s mission to ensure everyone affected by dementia gets the help they need. Whether you're worried about your memory or supporting a loved one with dementia, help is available.

❓1 in 3 people in the UK living with dementia do not have a diagnosis. This year the focus of the week is highlighting the most common symptoms of dementia.

Local Dementia Advisers can offer:
🧾 Help understanding and getting a diagnosis
💬 One-to-one emotional and practical support
🧠 Information on dementia, coping strategies and planning ahead
💡 Advice on entitlements like benefits and local services
👥 Signposting to community groups and referrals to extra support
📞 Regular keeping in touch calls throughout the journey
🧑👴👵👱‍♂️A support programme for carers (CrISP)

You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out, support is available at any stage.

GP surgeries and (most) pharmacies will be closed on Good Friday (18th April) and Easter Monday (21st April).

Please check and re-order your prescription if you will need your medication around this period.

📣 High pollen counts have been issued by the Met Office with the recent milder weather - it’s the time of year for tree pollens 🌲🌳

🩺 Caerau Pharmacy can provide free advice and treatment via the NHS

✅ Antihistamine tablets
✅ Antihistamine nasal spray
✅ Steroid nasal sprays
✅ Eye drops

Avoid the sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes (amongst others!)
