My daughter Amy-Rose Mulligan is now in her 2nd year of Physiotherapy and has completed her Level 4 Sports Massage Diploma 🎓💆‍♀️ .sportstherapy

Amy-Rose will now be taking appointments here at the clinic, gaining valuable hands-on experience as she continues her studies. I couldn’t be prouder of all her hard work and dedication 🥰

For deep tissue work the Fascial Release Wax - Super Grip is the only wax to use! 👌
The Sports Massage Wax & Active Massage Wax also fantastic! 👏

For a more relaxing massage the Lavender Massage Wax is my favourite. ❤️ The lavender smell is very relaxing for the client but also us the therapists! 😁

As we head into the new year many athletes will be heading into pre season training whether it’s gaelic, hurling, soccer, running or cycling etc. Whilst increasing your fitness level is important recovery has become increasingly important to the high-performing athlete in a bid to reduce fatigue and enhance performance.

Research suggests that hydrotherapy, compression and massage can enhance acute performance when utilised appropriately. Adequate recovery has been shown to result in the restoration of physiological and psychological processes, so that the athlete can compete or train again at an appropriate level.

Methods to Enhance Recovery.
There are a number of popular methods used by athletes to enhance recovery. Their use will depend on the type of activity performed, the time until the next training session or event. Some of the most popular recovery techniques for athletes include hydrotherapy, active recovery, stretching, compression garments, massage, sleep and nutrition.

At JM Sports Clinic; sports massages are available to book Monday to Friday with late evening appointments available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

3 recovery boots and the hydrotherapy bath is available to book Mon to Friday and late evenings Tuesday to Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Relax and reenergise a tired and aching body. Alleviate stress, ease aching muscles and revive the senses within the body.
