Beyond delighted & so grateful to all our family, friends & yogis who so generously donated to our recent Jog 50 Miles in March Challenge. We where thrilled to meet Steven Guy who travelled to the studio last weekend.
Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!πŸ™πŸ•‰πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

At the weekend our Coordinator met with Claire and her family to collect Claire's HUGE fundraising cheque for an amazing Β£2,086.65 from her Jog50 challenge in March.

Claire explains why she took on this personal challenge

"I recently signed up and completed the Jog 50 Miles in March Challenge in memory of our daughter, Erin Clancy, who was born on 20th August 2010 at 42 weeks. Unfortunately Erin passed away shortly after birth due to a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia which had been diagnosed at the 20 week scan. SANDS is such an important Charity and I am delighted to know how every penny helps to support parents & families in similar situations. For anyone that knows me I am definitely not an avid runner - not a huge fan of running in the rain or snow which I had to do during this Challenge!! As a family we are thrilled with the support from our extended family, friends & community who have so generously supported the 50 Miles in March. Thanks, Claire"

Massive THANK YOU to Claire and everyone who supported her in her Jog50 challenge.

Have you been inspired by Claire? If so, why not sign up to the Sands 100km challenge and walk 100km throughout June to raise funds and awareness for Sands https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsands.org.uk%2F100kinjune%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR39dpp0u7WufUJOAELAuHRMQ0AYPGtDRqWKGWDhglcKprQ8krNA5DEe58c&h=AT2iBSbwE3081z8JYe6IVchweWuzdnAkW3W8u7nD2Qlg1QT3G1xaUk4JZUunvomSH9UACwN2rU-duZZhMQFpzNSk9DVQsTvLr81zAWr5-ckDPwuHHKz6iOvygdtX52d1Rlroc40I9tfSfu2YDQ&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT2gq18z91-TdCz-6W8zJ5oMSyqOScxwdTP_p9WThdb-JnzSmaV02mtDOaHlBKi4kVGTEvkW6l8qrVABZUky8JKV1vrHee-aNhE8wXda2t_xVpwZIvtnag0fxaez3UVPSk2mM-ip3k818WE6613jWoldbhN8Na7_0Vh0N8qxSB-Bo8oz

As our fundraising for SANDS draws to a close, Yoga for Runners donation based practice live via Zoom Wednesday 21st April @ 20.00. Everyone welcome! PM us for details & too book!πŸ™

At the start of March Claire took on the Challenge of Jog 50 Miles in March for Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity & Sands NI (Stillbirth And Neonatal Death Support) to raise both awareness & money for a Charity so close to the studio’s hearts in memory of Erin Clancy.❀️

SANDS is the Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Charity supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby. It is a volunteer-led group of bereaved parents who understand the grief & offer support via telephone, email & regular video meetings.

Through our Facebook Fundraiser we have already received over Β£2000 in donations for the cause. To bring a conclusion to this Challenge a Yoga for Runners practice is being shared Wednesday 21st April @ 20.00 through Zoom.

We ask for a donation of what you can afford, every penny counts. If you have already supported us with a cash or Facebook donation you are very welcome to join us on the Mat!

Suitable for all Yogis, you just need yourself & your mat, video on, video off DM us to book your mat & we will email you practice details!πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ•‰πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ™

Your Mental Health is so important at this challenging time ❀️

One of our Birthing Mantra's!

" Relax the Jaw, to Release the Pelvis."❀️

The jaw and the pelvis are physiologically connected. If the jaw and throat are relaxed, the buttocks and pelvis will be too.

This relationship between the pelvis and the jaw is an early embryonic connection - approximately on the 15th of the gastrulation - at that stage, two depressions are formed in the embryo - one becomes a membrane that will eventually form the mouth and the other is a membrane that eventually forms the opening of urinary, reproductive and digestive tracts. Both branches remain connected even when the column develops and grows a greater space between them.

There is also a thin layer of fascial tissue that keeps our inner body aligned and includes a fascial line from the pelvis to the jaw.

When your body suffers from shock, stress, trauma or strong emotions like anger, it's a normal physiological reaction to squeeze the buttocks, contract the va**na and tense the jaw. Also a misalignment in one will affect the other.

This is an important concept when working with fertility and gynecological issues and it is something that can be worked on.

Chinese Medicine has always recognised this connection. The Gallbadder channel connects the Temporomandibular joint to the hip area.
Our bodies are fascinating and everything is connected. ☯️
