How many of these do you recognise? More than 5? Maybe 7? Maybe all of them.
Clients often come to me with anxiety and depression.
These are symptoms, not the problem.
Want to figure out how to manage them in the context of how they came about can be a scary process.
A little soul searching, challenging your thinking, experimenting with something new, saying no to people, quietening that inner critic.
But I guarantee I will walk with you in the dark, and in the light, until you don't need me any more.
The work you do, the learning, the "ah ha" moments are yours for the taking.
Trauma work is not pulling out all the difficult aspects of your life, looking at them strewn across the floor and feeling utterly overwhelmed, and a huge sense of (unwarranted) shame.
It's starting with your narrative, your pace, the way and the amount you're ready for.
Then it's being curious about some patterns, those core beliefs you try to protect all the time, learning coping skills (of which you already own many), figuring out what works, taking control back, being more self compassionate, feeling more confident, having faith in yourself, knowing your triggers and knowing you're in charge now, holding that mirror up to yourself and knowing you have found yourself.
Nobody but you did it.
And that's real power.
