As a long-standing business in Maiden Newton, and as a family who has lived in the village for decades, the Microsuction Company's directors Ian, Nicola and Dan Girling, urge you to support the petition against the closure of Maiden Newton Fire Station (along with seven others across Dorset and Wiltshire).
As the online petition rightly states: Removing these stations will mean slower response times, fewer available crews, and increased pressure on already-stretched neighbouring stations. When a fire engine has to travel further, people wait longer. And when people wait longer, lives are put at risk.
