10 years ago, I'd never have believed I'd be married.
5 years ago, I'd never have believed I'd have two kids.
2 years ago, I never thought I'd leave teaching.

One year ago, I took a bloody big leap and created Born to Birth Cornwall... with the hope that it was the right way to funnel my crazy passion for birth and helping people to find the joy in life.

In 365 days, I have achieved just so much. For those of you are new here, let me break it down for you...
- I've trained and started working as a birth doula ()
- I've trained and started working as a postnatal doula ()
- I've trained and started working as a breastfeeding peer supporter ()
- I am in the process of completing antenatal teacher accreditation ()
- I've created some bloody lovely postnatal spaces in 'The Nest' () and the Postnatal Pamper ()
- I've done three podcasts about birth & baby life with
- I've had the absolute pleasure of supporting three families prepare for their baby's arrival antenatally, and welcomed my first business baby at the end of January.

When I made the leap, I had no idea where it would take me: I could never have predicted I'd be sitting here actually running a proper business.

And loving it.

That's the thing with life: it takes us in directions that we just cannot predict. And while that lack of control might be 'wee your pants' scary at times, it doesn't mean it's bad.

But only when you feel supported. I couldn't have achieved any of this without my support crew - all of the individuals, businesses and organisations tagged but also my backstagers: the husband, the kidlets, the famalam, the friends.

Without them supporting me, I couldn't do this as well as I am.

And here's my totally not planned and streamlined segue into business: support matters in life, but it ESPECIALLY matters in birth.
