๐โจ Thames Hospice ยท Volunteering ยท Staff Well-being Week ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
Following the warm response from last year, I was invited again to guide a meditation session for Thames Hospiceโs annual Staff Well-being Week.
In todayโs one-hour group session, we practised:
๐ผ Body Scan for deep relaxation
๐ญ Observing Thoughts with gentle awareness
๐ A moment of Gratitude
๐ And a Contemplation Meditation using heart-shaped crystals I brought from Glastonbury โ the Heart Chakra of the Earth. Through this practice, we explored the four qualities of True Love (inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh): love, compassion, joy, and inclusiveness.
I felt deeply honoured to receive kind words from every participant โ especially praise for my voice and pacing, which, as a meditation guide, is the highest compliment. ๐๐
In closing, I said:
โจ โIโd like to send all my gratitude, love, and blessings to all of you for being here. By looking after ourselves, we look after our work, and our planet.โ
This is something I truly believe โ when we slow down and nourish our inner well-being, we become more present, more loving, and more powerful in everything we do. ๐๐ซ๐ชท
