It’s Carers Week – Let’s Celebrate and Support Our Local Carers 💙

This Carers Week, we’re taking time to recognise and thank the incredible unpaid carers in our community who provide vital support to family, friends, and neighbours. Your compassion, dedication, and strength don’t go unnoticed — and you deserve every bit of appreciation.

At Right at Home Maidenhead, we understand how rewarding but also challenging the role of a carer can be. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of a new Carers Support Group, starting next Wednesday, 18th June!

🗓 First Meeting: Wednesday 18th June
📍 Location: St Mark’s Methodist Church, Maidenhead
🕝 Time: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

This group is open to all unpaid carers looking for a safe, welcoming space to:

✅ Share experiences
✅ Connect with others in similar situations
✅ Access support, advice, and a listening ear
✅ Take a well-earned break with tea, coffee, and a friendly chat

Whether you're supporting a loved one full-time or just a few hours a week, you’re welcome to join us.

Let’s build a local network where carers feel valued, supported, and never alone.

In honour of National Fish & Chip Day, our incredible caregivers went above and beyond—delivering freshly prepared fish and chips straight to our clients' doorsteps! 🍽️💛

It was a heartwarming surprise for many and a delicious way to enjoy a beloved classic without stepping outside.

A huge thank you to our amazing team for their kindness, creativity, and unwavering commitment to brightening someone’s day—one thoughtful gesture at a time. 🐟🍟

It was Right at Home Maidenhead's first fortnightly Social Seniors session yesterday!! We all enjoyed a Quiz, each other company over a cuppa and a lovely cake.

Our next session will on the Wednesday 18th September, were we will also be joined by Steve Sansom from Age UK Berkshire.
