When you stop, really stop, you hear your body.

You hear your heart cry out, "It's ok, my darling. I'm here. I love you."

You feel every ache and pain and know that this is your body talking to you. These aches start off as whispers; what are they trying to tell you? Then they start to scream. Something has been suppressed for so long, that now is the time to sit with yourself. Stillness. Peace. Quiet. What does she say to you?

Love, you are safe. You are held.

Be who you need to be to release what you're holding on to. The emotions and trauma you carry are a weight that is causing you pain and suffering.

This is the new trend on social media. Sharing how amazing life was 10 years ago.

This was the year I was diagnosed with postnatal depression. I remember looking at my daughter gurgling and smiling at me and I felt... nothing. I knew something wasn't right but I masked like hell. Tears were covered with a smile. Nobody would ever have known that I felt like the shell of a human.

I felt like I had no right to be sad or moan about how tough life was.

But in reality, I had suffered a miscarriage one year earlier following by a dog attack. I buried it all deep. I had a toddler to look after and a baby on the way - I didn't have time to grieve, I just wanted to move on with my life.

If only I'd known that if you don't process your emotions, they'll come back to bite you in the form of dis-ease.

Strangely, I'm so grateful for the experiences I've been through. They were s**t but I taught myself how to heal from them: yoga, meditation, Reiki and now, trauma release. If I hadn't have had those experiences and accessed all the trainings and tools, there's no way I would have been able to navigate divorce as well as I have! The tough times have taught me so much about myself and have connected me with the Divine.

It honestly feels like a bit of a miracle. I've had frozen shoulders in the past and ended up bed-bound for days and pumped full of strong painkillers.

This time was different.

This time I used all the tools I knew to heal.

* I massaged specific points to release cortisol trapped in my neck, shoulder and upper back

* I held the places that were in pain and sent them love

* I called upon the Divine, my spirit guides, ascended masters, my ancestors, my Sirian family and all of my team to help shift whatever was trapped

* I cried (you release cortisol in your tears)

* I gave myself Reiki healing

* I focused on breathing long, deep breaths

* I gave myself all the comfort I needed; extra blankets, hot water bottles

I gave myself permission to be stuck, to rest with the pain, to know that it was only temporary and that my body was talking to me. I was stuck in freeze but leaned on all the beautiful tools I know to lift myself back to the calm, safety state.

I listened and did exactly what she needed to heal.

I'm not here to heal you.

I'm not here to tell you what to do.

I'm here to share my story and teach what has worked for me and changed my life, and maybe that will inspire you to find out what will change your life.

💫 I have spent the year healing my nervous system, going on deep dives in learning more about trauma and I started training to be a Trauma Release Practitioner 🙌

For most people, trauma is not a big, catastrophic event… it’s living in a prolonged state of stress 😫 Day after day your stress cup is overflowing, you’re overwhelmed and have no idea how to improve things.

Why am I telling you all this?? Because there’s hope!

Because I spent 5 days over 🎄 Christmas with my ex-husband and I felt no stress, no panic, no hate, no anxiety. We went to London, 🎢 Legoland, 🎈 celebrated our daughter’s birthday, spent a day with his family and I was cool as a cucumber. Last Christmas was very different!! I was full of resentment, rage and pure annoyance! This year was calm and, dare I say, even fun!

I feel like this whole year has been preparation just for this festive season!

I jest, but actually, the tools that I’ve learnt have been instrumental in guiding my nervous system to feel safer and stronger, and in turn this has strengthened my connection to the Divine and my spirit guides 😌

I’m so grateful for everything that I’ve learnt, not just on my personal journey but also on my incredible course.

So, I sent out a newsletter offering a FREE trauma release session to the first 10 people who responded and ALL spaces have been grabbed!

Believe me when I say that healing your nervous system is soooo simple but it requires patience and consistency. You don’t expect to be able to do Pincha Mayarasana after one yoga class, do you? 😉
